Penguin Cold Caps Penguin Cold Cap Therapy works to reduces Chemotherapy-induced alopecia.

This innovative Penguin Cold Caps reduces chemotherapy induced alopecia (hair loss) by cooling the hair capillaries and reducing the metabolic rate of the hair follicles to a hibernated state, preventing the absorption of chemotherapeutic drugs into the hair bulbs of the scalp. We also have a closed Chemotherapy Support group, which you are more than welcome to join. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1780243225573663/ This will contain tips and support from us and from you, to one another.

Pins and needles, tingling fingers, numb toes, or a strange buzzing sensation in your hands can all be signs of chemotherapy-induced neuropathy 🤍

It’s a side effect that many people don’t expect, and the symptoms can seem small at first. But if you notice any changes in sensation during treatment, it’s important to let your oncology team know.

Early conversations can help your care team monitor symptoms and provide the right support along the way ✨

Have you experienced neuropathy during treatment? We'd love to hear your experiences below.

“Today I completed my 12th chemotherapy treatment and the love I felt from those who support me through every day is indescribable! Cancer did take my eyebrows, my eyelashes, all of my body hair, BUT IT DID NOT take 85% of the hair on my head. All thanks to my sister switching out my Penguin Cold Caps 288 times and wearing it for a total of 96 hours. It gave my kids the peace they needed along the way to not see the pain mommy is enduring. For that I will forever be grateful!”

Thank you for sharing this incredible part of your journey!!! So lovely seeing all of love around you!

Susan was diagnosed with low-grade endometrial adenocarcinoma and went on to undergo a hysterectomy, radiation, and six rounds of Carboplatin and Paclitaxel chemotherapy.

Choosing to cold cap throughout treatment, Susan retained approximately 60–70% of her hair with Penguin Cold Caps 🤍

Her experience is a powerful reminder of how hair preservation can help provide a sense of normalcy during treatment.

“Being able to look in the mirror and not look sick helped me more than I can explain.”
