It has been a busy week at Norwood Green Care Home with a variety of activities for our wonderful residents to enjoy💜

Our manicure sessions left everyone feeling pampered, while Father Peter from St Anselm's Catholic Church Southall joined us for our monthly Catholic Mass, a special time for reflection and togetherness.

Our residents also took part in sensory activities using tactile boards, exploring different textures while keeping their hands active and engaged 😊

🎨🦋 Getting creative at Norwood Green Care Home !

Our wonderful residents have been busy painting beautiful butterflies, each one as unique as the person who created it. The colourful artwork has brightened up our reading nook and added a lovely personal touch to the space. 💜

We also made the most of the sunshine with some time in the garden, enjoying the fresh air, blooming flowers and everything that makes summer so special ☀️🌼

Our wonderful residents and team at Norwood Green Care Home had lots of fun creating their own unique faces, with plenty of imagination going into each one. The big reveal brought lots of smiles, surprises and a few giggles along the way 😄

It was a lovely way to spend time together and see everyone’s creative sides shine 💜

What a wonderful day we had at our annual Summer BBQ at Norwood Green Care Home ! ☀️💜

Our wonderful residents, families and team came together to enjoy delicious food, great company and an afternoon full of entertainment. A huge thank you to Juan for getting everyone singing along, and to Bus Pass To Broadway for keeping us smiling, laughing and dancing throughout the day🎶

It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the sunshine together and making the most of such a special afternoon. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day one to remember 💜

Looks like we might have a new ladies’ football team forming here at Norwood Green… watch out FIFA ⚽️

We got into the football spirit this week with some colourful t-shirt weaving and a World Cup quiz that certainly got everyone talking. There were plenty of opinions flying around, favourite players being debated, and a few lovely memories shared from matches gone by. It felt a bit like match day in our lounge, just with more biscuits and a lot less running about 🍪

Then it was the staff’s turn to step up… or try to! Our “Find the Missing Items” challenge had them in goggles and headphones, which made things far trickier than expected. What started as a simple game quickly turned into a bit of a comedy show, much to our residents’ delight 😂

Safe to say, our residents thoroughly enjoyed watching the tables turn. With pom poms waving, t-shirts in the air and plenty of fresh air too, it turned into one of those afternoons that just made everyone smile 💜

Our wonderful residents had a fantastic evening at the funfair, which was right on the doorstep of Norwood Green Care Home 🎡💜

With the rides lighting up the evening sky, music playing and plenty to see, there was so much to enjoy. It was lovely to soak up the atmosphere, spend time out in the local community and make the most of a warm summer evening together.

Trips like these are always a wonderful opportunity to enjoy something a little different, and this one certainly brought plenty of smiles😊

It has been another lovely week at Norwood Green Care Home, with plenty of special moments to enjoy together 💜

We were so pleased to take Louise on her first outing, while Mojo enjoyed spending some quality time in the garden with his wife, listening to music and making the most of the sunshine. We also welcomed back Richard from VIE International Ltd. who had everyone singing along, testing their knowledge with quizzes and joining in with some gentle armchair exercises. 🎤

Alongside all of that, our amazing residents have been keeping busy with games, brain teasers and lots of good conversation. It's the little moments shared throughout the week that make our home such a lovely place to be😊

It’s been quite a week for us here 💜

Valerie treated herself to a fabulous perm and hasn’t stopped smiling since. She’s been showing it off to everyone and we all agree it really suits her 💁‍♀️

We also spent some quiet time together enjoying a lovely online church service with Reverend Anne from St Mary’s, which meant a lot to our residents. And of course, we couldn’t let World Chocolate Day pass us by without a few tasty treats… which went down very well 🍫

We had such a lovely afternoon yesterday when the children from St Mary's C of E Primary School, Norwood Green , Norwood Green Care Home came to spend time with us. 💜

There was a little bit of everything to enjoy, from board games and brain teasers to colouring and decorating sun hats. It was wonderful to see residents and children chatting away, helping one another and sharing the activities together. There were some lovely conversations along the way, and before we knew it the afternoon had flown by.

A big thank you to everyone at St Mary's CofE Primary School for another special visit. We can't wait to welcome you back soon 😊
