Dear Russ,
Thank you so much for officiating at George’s funeral on Thursday, 18th June. Having been married to George for over 60 years it was a particularly heart wrenching time.

Meeting with you beforehand put my mind at rest that we were in the hands of a highly skilled professional.

We could not have wished for a better service, your presentation was perfect, were friendly and approachable , exactly who we hoped for to manage the service.

We will always be grateful to you for your experience, and especially your welcoming smile and kindness.

To be clear, I'm not a spokesperson for the funeral industry, but I am fortunate to have a public platform to say things that sometimes need to be said. Please be assured that the ghastly case in Hull is a one‑off abomination. Funeral directors are among the most dedicated, thoughtful, caring, and compassionate people I have ever had the privilege of working with.
