This is your invitation to join the community of shared inquiry! A community giving agency and self-trust back to our students: helping them to build an internal library of self-knowledge within their own body-mind.

The hallmark of a skilful teacher is helping students to learn from their practice, to be able to practice without us, to continue to grow and explore.

Birthlight: Yoga for Optimal Pelvic Floor Tone through Women’s Lifecycles. Birthlight

Drawing on her personal, teaching and tutoring experience over the last 26 years, Kirsteen Ruffell shares Birthlight therapeutic yoga practices to empower and inform women focusing on the pelvic floor.

You will learn a new skill set to help women become better aware and clearer about where their pelvic floor is and more connected to how it functions for them. This may be a totally new area of teaching depending on your background or add substantially to what you are already offering. Therapeutic yoga for the pelvic floor introduces you to a whole new world of teaching that supports women in an area relatively neglected both in yoga and in healthcare. Whether you are already passionate about improving women’s wellbeing with dedicated ‘Well Woman Yoga’ or just starting in this area or simply want to practise for yourself, this day will add to your professional development and personal understanding.

When the body is adequately supported, the mind may become more noticeable... busy, restless, or noisy.

Join for Embodied Relax and Restore: The Mind of Restorative Yoga. This module explores what is happening when the mind does not immediately settle, and how to remain present with experience without striving for silence.

Drawing inspiration from Vipassana (Insight Meditation) and the iRest® Yoga Nidra model, this work emphasises somatisation, grounding awareness in direct bodily experience before cognitive narratives take over.

Explore how attachment and aversion shape mental activity, and how skilful attention can support rest without suppression or control.

Join us live online Wednesday 9th Sept 2026 14:00-17:00 UK time.

Lisa Petersen leads us into self-inquiry - where the practice starts to ask questions of us, rather than the other way round.

This recording is part of our A living Tradition: Summer Series and there is still time to join Doug's live session today as well as Lisa and Leila Stuart's sessions via replay.

- Leila Stuart brings the Koshas into the discussion, tracing how these layers show up not as theory, but as something felt on the mat.
- Doug Keller turns to the science of breath, looking at how something as ordinary as nitric oxide connects the physiological to the practice itself.

The Impact of Self-Compassion in Practice - Thursday 10th September 2026 14:30-16:30 UK time with Karen Atkinson

A 2-hour workshop exploring self-compassion in mindfulness for yoga teachers. Through guided practices and reflection, it supports resilience, emotional balance, and sustainable teaching, helping you care for yourself as deeply as you care for others

Yoga teachers spend so much time holding space for others, guiding, supporting, and offering care. Yet often, the same compassion we extend outward can feel harder to offer ourselves.

This workshop is an invitation to turn towards that.

Led by Karen Atkinson, CEO of MindfulnessUK , this 2-hour session explores the role of self-compassion within mindfulness practice as something lived, embodied, and deeply practical. Rooted in the Compassionate Mindful Resilience (CMR) programme, you’ll be guided through experiential practices and reflective inquiry that support a more balanced, sustainable way of teaching and living.

Mindfulness and compassion are two essential qualities that work together. Awareness through mindfulness helps us see clearly, and compassion enables us to respond with kindness. Without that balance, it’s easy to fall into patterns of striving, self-criticism, or depletion.

This session offers space to pause and notice what’s here for you. To explore how self-compassion can support emotional resilience, regulate the nervous system, and deepen your connection to both your practice and those you teach. Research has shown meaningful increases in resilience, mindfulness, and self-compassion among participants of the CMR course, highlighting the real-world impact of these practices.

You’ll leave not only with practices you can draw on personally, but also with insights that can subtly shape the way you hold space for others.

A rich, experiential mini-apprenticeship: The Inspiring Yoga Teacher Training starts 12th Oct 2026.

The Inspiring Yoga Teacher is an immersive 8-part foundation training that lays the foundation for teaching beginners in a powerful, practical teaching methodology (the invisible web).

Through a progressive series of classes, you’ll experience the material as a student first, then integrate it as a teacher - so what you offer comes from lived understanding, not theory.

Each class acts as both a complete lesson plan and a creative springboard, supporting you to build courses that are intelligent, adaptable, and deeply engaging.

Live online support circles help you unpack your learning directly with Lisa, and springboard off other teachers.

This is more than a training - it’s a proven system where 97% of the groundwork is already done for you, so you can focus on what truly matters: connection, presence, service and impact.

What changes when yoga teacher training goes beyond simply gaining more knowledge?

You begin to see teaching differently.

You find new ways to communicate, guide and hold space. You move away from feeling that you need to have all the answers and discover the joy of co-creation. You feel more grounded in your own body, deepen your personal practice and reconnect with what it truly means to be yoga.

These are not just courses completed or certificates gained. They are shifts that continue to shape how teachers practise, teach, relate and live.
