I grew up watching him as Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was the perfect escape for a lonely teenager who lacked social skills.

TNG took me to places that captivated me so completely, my personal upheavals were forgotten, even if only for a while.

This week, the man behind my favourite Captain, Sir Patrick Stewart, transitioned.

It made me appreciate all that he brought to me personally. I never met him. Yet it shows how someone can influence your life, your childhood, in ways they will never know.

For that, I am forever grateful…

When the energy is flowing for me, the ideas just keep coming. 💫

Book titles. Course ideas. Whole new offers, all arriving at once.

It feels like magic. And honestly, it is.

But I’ve learned something.

Ideas without grounding just float off.

So before I create, I plug in.
Feet on the floor.
A few slow breaths into my heart.
I feel my body, here, in the room.

Then I create.

That’s grounded manifestation. The magic, with roots. 🌱

Wealth is more than money. 💛

I learnt this the slightly awkward way.

At the end of 2025 I was a Senior Finance Director in fintech. Big team. Good salary. The numbers all looked right.

And I still dreaded Mondays.

On paper, I was doing well. Inside, not so much.

So now I measure wealth differently.

Money, yes. I’m a finance person, I’ll never pretend it doesn’t matter 😊
Time that’s actually mine.
Freedom to choose how my days go.
And the energy to enjoy all of it.

Take away any one of those and something feels off.

My real wealth is Mini, my cat 🐾

She has no idea what’s in my bank account.
And she really doesn’t care.

She cares that I’m home.
That my lap is free.
That breakfast is on time (she’s very clear on that one).

When she curls up next to me, my breathing slows.
I stop rushing.
I stop counting.

And funnily enough, that’s when money feels easiest to receive.

My real wealth is choosing myself. Without the guilt. 💛

For a long time, I was last on my own list.

Work first. Family first. Everyone else first.

And on the rare days I did something for me, I’d feel bad about it afterwards.

So these photos are me, practising.

Me, taking up space.

Me, buying the thing without doing the maths on who needed the money more.

Me, saying no without a three-paragraph explanation.

Me, drinking my coffee while it’s still hot ☕
