Well it’s fair to say it’s been a while. Life has been in full swing 😎and I think the last post I wrote was so long ago, AI wasn’t even really a thing 😊

Having spent many years working with fertility, pregnancy, parenthood and everything in between, I came to realise more and more that there was a big gaping hole when it came to emotional support for a lot of the messy stuff. And I mean specialist therapy that focuses on these massive life landmarks in a way that fits with what life brings today. Because these life-changing landmarks in life don’t come with a handbook 🤷🏽‍♀️

So to you..the ones going through a heart-wrenching fertility journey, the parents suffering extreme sleep deprivation, to those with extreme stress and anxiety, to the people feeling the weight of the non-stop juggle overwhelm, to those experiencing a traumatic birth, for the couples whose relationship is at breaking point, to the blended families trying to navigate challenges. We’re here for you.

It’s been such a long time away from this wonderful space...lockdown, divorce and who knows what next made me question whether this was all doable. How do we shake up the way we educate parents-to-be when we can’t meet, how about improve postnatal care when we’re so distant from one another? I’ve been totally bowled over and in awe of those who’ve managed to pivot, push their cause harder and louder or become a lifeline to others during these crazy times 💕

It’s so difficult to trust your gut isn’t it? Especially at times like this where there is SO much information flying around and a lot of it conflicting 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️. When it comes to childbirth and parenting the ‘should’, the ‘norm’ and the ‘right way’ can take over the conversation and leave your own intuition feeling lost. At The Nest, our reason for being is to stoke up the fire of your inner GPS..to make sure that you have expert, empowering and straight talking information pre birth so you feel confident to make the choices that work you. This is one of the best reminders I’ve come across...for the days where being cooped up feels a bit much. Loving, dancing, playing, reading, nature...the simple stuff...the best. Don’t get me wrong, I’m dreading the months of home schooling, the arguments, the mess, the juggling work, home, caring, the uncertainty....but it’s a chance to get back to basics, spend time with our kids, learn more about who they are and to teach them the essentials...how to cook, fix, clean, build and how to be responsible in their community 💕

My little lady powering into International Womens Day ⚡️⚡️⚡️After a tricky few months of seeing the patriarchy in action at its best, I feel pretty humbled and thankful for the amazing people out there, doing their best to change the record that has been stuck on gender inequality for so long. You bring hope that one day positive change will happen, where our girls and boys can live in a world where they don’t have to ‘man up’ to earn a living or feel accepted, a world where feminine qualities are respected and rewarded as they should be....thank you .wellness.toolkit .woman ...🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

It hurts my heart to see and hear about the crisis in our NHS...so many friends are close to breaking point as medics because the system is under such strain...these are the people who trained for years, worked sleepless nights and days on call, have given themselves fully to those who need their care at the start of life, the end of life and everything in between. The brilliant campaign speaks so much truth and is worth checking out. ‘Powered by love and tea’...really couldn’t be closer to the truth 💕
