monthly book club officially launched last month starting with The Signs by . We read the first few chapters and I voice noted my thoughts 2 weeks into the month with questions and journal prompts for our community to dive deeper.

I relaunched UNEARTHED online yoga studio last month with a bunch of new goodies, and our monthly book club became an exciting new feature that I’m absolutely loving.

Spiritual books can be tricky to digest so I loved bringing this to the table. It’s accessible, respectful to ancient practices and of course, it’s science backed.

I think many people forget that yoga was always designed as a spiritual science and a way of life. Let this be your reminder that no one should be removing eastern rituals or diluting them in the name of accessibility. It’s great to see modern science catching up with what the east has said for centuries, but don’t let it be your only guide when your inner compass should be trusted too ❤️ (p.s follow for more!)

I was so angry afterwards because I felt like I didn’t do enough to keep my boy safe but then I did some inner work and realised that staying calm and walking slowly were probably the safest things I could have done in that scenario.

A note for all the dog owners - it’s highly unlikely a mother, who you don’t know, would want your dog coming up to their child…especially if they have a tendency to jump up (which naturally all dogs do?!)

It’s not enough 👀

My parents moved to the U.K as immigrants 38 years ago. They taught me yoga before I was out of nappies.

But when I started doing yoga in gyms in my late teens, I genuinely thought the yoga there was a different type of yoga to what I learnt growing up. Isn’t that wild?!?

It was different in so many ways, mostly the pure erasure of spirituality, Hinduism, and the format of it was so structured. It wasn’t a way of life like I’d always experienced it to be, I was always the only brown girl in class, and there were only white women teaching it. P.S this is the whole reason I created

So showing my parents my latest campaign with was special. Mum & Dad, thanks for letting me quit 10 years in tech sales, for supporting me even when I didn’t know which route to take, and for celebrating my fight for representation in the yoga/wellness industry, to be the change I want to see in the world, so that our gorgeous heritage, that you excellently passed down, is never lost and is forever respected.

P.S they want a longer ad though guys 😂

RETREAT BTS🌞🌴

Day 1 of our retreats is always SO special, so new, strangers meeting for the first time. But by the end of the retreat, it feels like that day was a million years ago.

When I tell people I host wellness retreats, and they ask me “how was it?” I find it quite impossible to explain. A retreat is not like any other holiday I’ve ever been on.

I started hosting ours in 2021, first from my home in London, and soon all over the world. I still get chills every single time we’re on retreat, through hearing your stories, seeing the connections that form and feeling the clear shift in energy. No one retreat has ever been the same. That’s what makes these experiences so special, and I’m so grateful I get to call this work 🥹

So I wanted to take you along with me and do a true day to day behind the scenes of what actually happens when I host our yoga and Ayurveda retreats. This is day 1 of our 5 days in Andalusia. Stay tuned ❤️

Everything changed when I heard this 👀

For thousands of years, ancient Vedic traditions understood what modern neuroscience is only now beginning to validate. The way we regulate our breath dictates the way we experience reality. When you intentionally alter your breath, you actively stimulate different neural pathways in the brain, shift your nervous system out of state of alarm, and awaken the subtle energy channels within your body. It is a process of unlearning. P.s follow for more!

Breathing consciously literally impacts a different part of your brain and when I guide people through some of the oldest ancient Indian techniques I see the visceral change happen. We have classes over on online yoga studio guiding you through so you’re never alone and know how to practice safely.

Comment BREATHE and I’ll send you my free Breathing Basics Guide which includes a 2 week plan of breathing techniques for each day designed specifically to help you navigate the noise of the world and guide you back to self ❤️
