Here are five unhinged things I do as a Psychotherapist, specialising in anxiety, grief and trauma, who helps clients feel better as quickly as possible. 👀

💌 I’m able to have a laugh with my clients, which many wouldn’t imagine happens in therapy.

💌 If my client swears, I swear (if appropriate), because real understanding means speaking their language, not sanitising their emotions.

💌 More often than not, there’s a cup of tea involved, whether we’re meeting in person or online, to help things feel relaxed and comfortable.

💌 When the time is appropriate I will acknowledge their resilience, vulnerability, and bravery it takes to tell their story, because I’m frequently moved by the experiences my clients share.

💌 I bring my full personality into my work so clients feel met by a human presence, one with empathy, warmth, and relatability, rather than a cold, clinical approach.

The ✨ irony ✨ is that none of these things are actually unhinged, they are human, warm and create a positive experience of therapy for my clients.

If you’re looking for positive, solution-focused support in 2026, I’m welcoming additional clients and welcome you to book in a free consultation call using the link in my bio. 🔗🤍

These are five things I would do today if I wanted to reset my anxiety…

1. Have breakfast every morning. 🍳

Why? Low blood sugar can mimic anxiety symptoms like shakiness, dizziness, and irritability. Eating early helps stabilize your nervous system and energy levels. 🔋

2. Reduce caffeine & alcohol intake.🍷

Why? Caffeine stimulates your fight-or-flight response, and alcohol disrupts sleep and increases next-day anxiety. Less of both = a calmer baseline. 📉

3. Get outside for a walk every day.🚶🏼‍♀️

Why? Gentle movement lowers cortisol, releases mood-regulating neurotransmitters, and signals safety to your nervous system, especially when paired with fresh air. 🍃
4. Use 7:11 breathing. 🫁

Why? Longer exhales activate the parasympathetic (calming) nervous system, helping your body shift out of stress mode. 🧘🏼‍♀️

5. Expose yourself to daylight within 10 minutes of waking. ⛅️

Why? Morning light regulates your circadian rhythm, improves sleep quality, and reduces overall anxiety throughout the day. 🪟

I’d love to hear which one resonates with you most in the comments below! 💌
