I am delighted to share that my article, "๐๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง," has been published in the June issue of the prestigious US journal ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ฌ,.
When we think about metabolic syndrome, obesity, type 2 diabetes, fatty liver disease, heart disease, and chronic inflammation, we often focus on food, exercise, and medication. Yet one of the most powerful drivers of metabolic dysfunction is frequently overlooked: chronic stress and unhealthy relationships.
In this article, adapted from chapter 19 of my recently published "๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐๐ญt" book, I explore how stress affects our hormones, immune system, gut health, sleep, and metabolism. More importantly, I provide practical, evidence-based strategies to address the root causes.
My goal was to translate complex science into an engaging and accessible narrative using storytelling, analogies, and simple language, helping readers understand not only what is happening in their bodies, but why it is happening and how they can regain control of their health.
Metabolic syndrome is one of the greatest health challenges of our time, but it is often preventable and, in many cases, reversible when the underlying causes are addressed.
๐๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐๐ ๐ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐: lasting health requires more than a healthy diet. It also requires healthy relationships, effective stress management, restorative sleep, and a balanced lifestyle.
I look forward to sharing more insights from the book in the coming weeks.
