𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱
This weekend, I stood on a stage and did something that scared me. Not because I didn’t know the subject. Not because I wasn’t prepared.
But because I chose to do it differently.
For years, I’ve spoken about anatomy, assessment, treatment planning, and the science that underpins what we do. This time, I told a story.
A personal one.
And somewhere between writing it, rehearsing it, and finally sharing it, I realised something unexpected.
The version of myself I admire most isn’t the one with the most slides, the most evidence, or the most polished delivery.
It’s the one willing to be seen. The one willing to trust that connection matters just as much as information.
The one willing to tell the truth.
What I thought would be a lesson in teaching became a lesson in courage.
And perhaps that’s what growth really is. Not becoming somebody new.
But remembering who you’ve been all along.
I’d love to know, when was the last time you surprised yourself?
