Art and Charitable Causes by Lukas

Art and Charitable Causes by Lukas Lukas' Art journey and how it's being used to help others My name is Lukas. I am 4 years old and I love to paint.

At birth, I was diagnosed with congenital ptosis in the right eye for which I have received continual treatment at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. Congenital ptosis is a drooping of the upper eyelid which is present from birth. This can be caused by dysfunction of the muscles that raise the eyelid or their nerve supply. It is important that this disorder is treated at a young age, otherwise it

can interfere with vision development or lead to other conditions such as amblyopia or astigmatism. I started painting when I was 3 with Emmy Philipp-Ting at Emmy's Malwerkstat (https://www.facebook.com/Emmy0768025888/). I created this page to document my experiences with ptosis, my art and how I am using my artwork for charitable causes. First and foremost I will be working with Moorfields Eye Charity (https://www.moorfieldseyecharity.org.uk) to give something back to the institution that has provided excellent care to me since I was very young. Please have a look around and send me a message if you would like to get in touch! To learn more about ptosis, please visit:
