But when it comes to genotype, we need information, not fear.
If both parents are AS, each pregnancy has:
🧬 25% chance of AA
🧬 50% chance of AS
🧬 25% chance of sickle cell disease (e.g. SS)
And these chances apply to every pregnancy.
Knowing your genotype and your partner’s genotype allows you to make informed decisions about your reproductive options.

Postpartum psychosis is rare, but it is a medical emergency that can happen after having a baby.
A woman may experience hallucinations, delusions, severe confusion, unusual behaviour, extreme agitation, or rapidly changing moods.
It can develop suddenly, often within the first two weeks after birth.
🚨 If you think a new mum may be experiencing psychosis, don’t leave her alone and seek urgent medical help.
As a nurse and midwife, I believe knowing the warning signs can help families recognise when something is seriously wrong. ❤️

Here is a wife, mum of 3 amazing, energetic boys coupled with working full-time as a nurse 😀 💙

I have come to realise that is never easy being a parent with young children abroad😀💔🤣

This will be my advice to parents abroad
👇
1. Rest when your body tells you to👌✅️

2. Call in sick at work if you are ill 🤒 don't even try to please anyone because if anythin happens ,your position will be replaced ASAP🤔

3. EAT HEALTHY MEALS 😋 💪 VERY IMPORTANT ( YOUR BODY WILL ALWAYS GIVE BACK WHAT IS FED WITH)✅️👌

4. Don't forget God, seek him first and you will not want any good thing✅️✅️💪
( Remember God doesn't need you for anything but you need him For everything)
