Eleanor Healthcare Group Eleanor Healthcare Group, Providing Diverse Healthcare Services Since 1979

Since 1979, Eleanor Healthcare has been providing local communities with fully personalised and bespoke services to those who require assistance with home care; and we have a history of success working with local communities. Our passionate team can help with many aspects of arranging and planning care support within the home, and our priority is to get to know you, so we can fully understand your needs, whilst ensuring that we offer reassurance and peace of mind about the future. We understand that every person needing care and some extra support at home is a unique individual with their own wishes, aspirations, interests, and needs, which is why our services are tailored and personalised to meet your unique requirements. At Eleanor Healthcare Group, we’re able to offer tailored and personalised care services, including:

• Home Care – With our home care services, we provide you with complete choice and control over the care you receive; and our staff will work with you to help you choose the best care which enables and empowers you to live independently. Our home care services are tailored to support your needs and budget, whilst enabling you to become more independent and enjoy an improved quality of life; helping you to gradually move away from the dependence of carers. At Eleanor, we ensure that our home care services put you first and in the driving seat, and we can ensure that whatever your care needs, we will be able to tailor a care package that has been designed by you, with all the support you require from us.

• Care Homes - we aim to empower people using our care homes to make informed choices and decisions, whilst offering a safe and comfortable environment; we support and stimulate our service users to help maximise their skills and promote independence. Our registered care homes offer supportive and safe housing for those with learning disabilities, as well as those with physical disabilities, high care, and complex needs, who require twenty-four-hour support. Along with offering assistance within the care home, we provide support and care within the community setting, in an effort to actively encourage independence; and with the help of our support staff, our residents are encouraged to live as independently as possible; by taking an active part in how their home is run; whilst also enjoying leisure and social activities within the community. With all services we offer, before we match you with the right team, we take the time to get to know you, because you are our priority.

It’s National Recycling Week!

From 14–20 September, we’re joining organisations and communities across the UK to focus on recycling more of the right things, more often.

Across Eleanor Healthcare Group, our Care Homes, Living Skills Homes and Centres, and Home & Extra Care Offices are looking at how we can make a difference by:

♻️ Sorting waste into the right recycling streams
🍎 Reducing food waste
📦 Recycling more plastic, glass, paper and card
🗑️ Making sure the right bins and signage are in place
🌱 Finding ways to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill

Small changes to how we use, sort and dispose of waste can make a big difference when we all work together.

National Recycling Week is a great opportunity for our teams to take a closer look at what we can do differently, helping us put our commitment to “Exceptional Care for People and Planet” into action.

We were delighted to welcome Natasha Irons, MP for Croydon East, to Addington Heights Care Home, where she spent time meeting our residents and colleagues and hearing more about our plans for the home.

Since Eleanor took over the management of Addington Heights two months ago, our team has been getting to know our residents, families and colleagues, while looking at how we can continue to build on the care already being provided.

The visit was also a great opportunity to talk about the importance of keeping care homes connected with their local communities, healthcare professionals, local authorities and NHS partners.
A big thank you to Natasha for taking the time to visit us and meet the Addington Heights team and residents.

We look forward to continuing to build strong connections across New Addington and the wider Croydon community.

Last week, the team at Pine Lodge hosted a fantastic “Come Dine With Me” lunch, bringing residents together for an afternoon of delicious food, great company and plenty of smiles.

The team pulled out all the stops, with a delicious menu featuring roasted salmon with spinach cream, fondant potatoes and carrot purée, chicken stuffed with wild mushroom mousse, followed by some beautiful desserts to finish.

We were also delighted to welcome residents from Lavenders, making it a wonderful opportunity for residents from both homes to come together, enjoy a special meal and share the afternoon.

But the best part? Hearing how much everyone enjoyed it!

Here’s some of the lovely feedback from the day:
- “Compliments to the chef!”
- “Better than I expected!”
- “Thank you very much to the chef and hospitality.”

A huge well done to the Pine Lodge team and everyone who helped make the day such a success. It was lovely to see residents from Pine Lodge and Lavenders enjoying each other’s company, sharing conversations and creating happy memories together.

Summer is all about barbecues, summer fêtes, garden parties, trips out, visits to local farms , and the list goes on!

Across our care homes, activities are an important part of life throughout the year, but summer gives us even more opportunities to get outdoors, enjoy the warmer days and bring people together.

From a barbecue in the garden or a summer fête with families, to days out, community events, visits to local attractions and creative activities such as arts and crafts, there is always something to get involved in. These moments help our residents stay active and engaged, express their creativity, connect with the people and communities around them, enjoy new experiences and, most importantly, have fun.

Our connection with the local community is also incredibly important to us. We love welcoming local people, families, schools and groups into our homes, involving them in our events and creating opportunities for our residents to remain an active part of the communities they know and value. Wherever we can, we also look for ways to support and give something back to those communities.

Here are just a few glimpses from some of the wonderful summer activities and celebrations taking place across our homes.

As England prepares for one of the biggest matches of the tournament, we all are ready to cheer them on!

We all love the beautiful game, and a few weeks ago, we came together at Halden Heights Nursing Home to celebrate that shared passion with a brilliant football-themed event. There were friendly games, songs, flags, plenty of cheering and lots of smiles. The day was everything we love about football: fun, nostalgia, team spirit and bringing everyone together.

So, as the team takes to the pitch tonight, here is a little tribute from all of us at Eleanor Healthcare Group.

𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐧, 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝! 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞! ⚽🏆
