🇬🇧☕️ Our residents at Manor Rest have been very busy getting everything ready for tomorrow’s VE Day Tea Party!

Today was filled with colouring, crafts, decorations and plenty of smiles as everyone joined in creating some wonderful VE Day artwork and bunting ❤️

It’s been lovely hearing stories, sharing memories and seeing everyone enjoying the celebrations together. We can’t wait for tea, treats and good company tomorrow morning! 🇬🇧✨

This week our residents became superheroes for the day.. and what a fantastic time we had! 💥

We kicked things off with a ring toss challenge to “capture the villains” 🎯 (they didn’t stand a chance!) followed by some balloon strength-building games 💪🎈 filled with laughter and a bit of friendly competition! 🤗

The Staff joined in with some fantastic outfits … but we all know our staff don’t need costumes to prove to us what Superheroes they really are 🫶

There was teamwork, cheering, and lots of smiles as everyone showed off their superpowers, proving that fun and adventure have no age limit! ❤️

A wonderful day full of joy, movement, and shared moments. Our residents truly are superheroes every day! 🌟

🌍 Celebrating Earth Day! 🌱

This week our residents have been celebrating Earth Day and getting creative at the same time .. by turning recycled cartons into bird feeders! A really simple way to reuse materials while helping out our feathered friends 🥰🐦

Once these are dried we will fill them with birdseed , hang them outside, and watch nature come to life right on our doorstep!💚

A little reminder that even the smallest things can make a big difference for our planet. ♻️

Happy Wear Your Pyjamas to Work Day! 💤

Finally, a dress code I’ve been training for my entire life… 😝

From cosy slippers to colourful PJs, both staff and residents have been joining in the fun here at Manor Rest! Bringing smiles, laughter, and a relaxed vibe to our day. It’s these little moments that make such a big difference! 💛

We’re just waiting for HR to confirm if slippers count as “business casual”… 😆

T.I.M.E to party!! 🎶

We were delighted to be joined by David from T.I.M.E at Manor Rest today .. he brought along a fantastic selection of well-loved songs that everyone could enjoy. From the moment the music started, there were smiles all around!

Everyone had the chance to get involved, whether it was playing instruments, clapping along, or singing their hearts out. It was so lovely to see such enthusiasm and confidence from everyone taking part. Of course, we couldn’t resist getting our dancing shoes on too, with plenty of toe-tapping, swaying, and dancing filling the room! 💃🕺

Moments like these are so special, bringing people together through music, laughter, and shared joy. It’s been a truly uplifting experience, and the atmosphere has been amazing from start to finish.

It’s safe to say everyone has had a really great day, full of fun, energy, and smiles 🤩 We’re already looking forward to the next one!

🌸🐣 Easter Preparations at Manor Rest! 🐣🌸

Our residents have been excitedly getting into the Easter spirit this week, and it’s been wonderful to see so much creativity and joy around the home! 💛🐣

From designing and decorating beautiful Easter bonnets to creating a variety of colourful crafts, everyone has been busy putting their artistic talents to great use. 🎨👒

We’re so proud to display their fantastic creations around the home.. each one unique and made with care. The smiles, laughter, and sense of togetherness have made this a truly special time for all. 😊

We’re looking forward to celebrating Easter (and eating too much chocolate! 🍫🤭) together this weekend! 🐰🌼

🌸✨ Ladies’ Pamper Day at Manor Rest Care Home ✨🌸

What a wonderful day of relaxation, laughter, and a little bit of sparkle! 💕 Our lovely ladies enjoyed a truly special Pamper Day filled with soothing hand massages, pretty nail painting and plenty of time to sit back, chat, and feel fabulous! 💅

The room was filled with smiles, the scent of beautiful lotions, and lots of happy chatter, a perfect reminder that everyone deserves to feel pampered and appreciated. 🌷

Seeing our residents relaxed, confident, and glowing made it extra special. 🩷

☘️ Happy St Patrick’s Day from everyone at Manor Rest! ☘️

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic St Patrick’s Day party filled with laughter, music, and plenty of green! From festive decorations to tasty treats and toe-tapping tunes, the home was full of smiles and wonderful energy throughout the day. 💚

It was lovely to see everyone joining in, singing along, and celebrating together. Special moments like these bring so much joy and create memories to treasure. 🇮🇪✨

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

Our Residents at Manor Rest had such a wonderful time at our Mother’s Day party 💖

In the morning we enjoyed reminiscing together and sharing our favourite memories of our mums, it was a truly heartwarming start to the day 🥰

And then, In the afternoon, it was time to put on those dancing shoes 💃🏻 The room was filled with laughter, music, and so many smiles. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating together! 🎶✨

Our residents at Manor Rest have had a wonderfully busy and engaging week!

They’ve been putting their hand-to-eye coordination to the test with a variety of fun games, keeping both minds and bodies active while sharing plenty of laughs along the way. It’s amazing to see everyone encouraging one another and celebrating their successes! 👏

We’ve also been getting involved in Science Week with some exciting experiments that sparked curiosity and conversation 🤓 From observing reactions to making predictions about what might happen next, our residents truly embraced their inner scientists! 🔬✨

Activities like these help keep minds stimulated, boost confidence, and most importantly bring everyone together for some joyful moments. We’re so proud of our residents for always giving things a go and making every activity special. 💙

📚✨ World Book Day at Manor Rest! ✨📚

What a fabulous day we have had here at Manor Rest celebrating World Book Day! Our wonderful staff got into the spirit of the occasion by dressing up as some well-known literary characters, which certainly brought plenty of smiles and laughter from our residents!

Books have a special way of bringing back memories for our Residents and It was amazing to see how a good story can spark such lovely conversations. 🥰

A big thank you to our team for making the day extra fun and helping create such a warm, joyful atmosphere for everyone. 📖❤️
