๐ A Huge Milestone for Public Health in England! ๐
We're delighted to see the news that Hepatitis C is on track to be eliminated in England.
This is an incredible achievement and a testament to years of hard work, collaboration, and commitment across the NHS, healthcare providers, community organisations, and patients themselves. With over 100,000 people diagnosed and treated since 2015, England is leading the way in tackling a disease that has affected so many lives.
The success of wider testing programmes, improved access to treatment, and ongoing awareness campaigns shows what can be achieved when people work together towards a common goal.
While there is still work to do to reach everyone who remains undiagnosed, today is a moment to celebrate the progress made and the lives that have already been transformed through early diagnosis and effective treatment.
๐ Thank you to everyone involved in helping make Hepatitis C elimination a reality.
๐ Together, we're proving that ending Hepatitis C is possible.
