Not all omega-3 supplements do the same job — it depends why you're taking them.

A professor once pointed me toward higher-strength omega-3 for supporting depressive symptoms — EPA in particular has solid research behind it for mood, and effective doses are usually much higher than people expect.

Cheaper options like cod liver oil often have far less EPA (sometimes ~100mg), which isn't bad — it's just built for a different job.

So check the EPA/DHA content, not just "omega-3" on the label — and match it to your goal. As always, chat to your doctor if you're managing depression or a heart condition.

Which one did you think was "better"? 👇

Creatine is one of the most researched supplements out there — and it's not just for bodybuilders.

3-5g a day is the sweet spot, no loading phase needed — consistency matters more than timing. It's well-tolerated for most healthy adults, and some water retention in the muscle is normal, not something to worry about.

As always, if you have any underlying health issues or are on medication, it's worth checking with your doctor first. Supplements aren't one-size-fits-all, and what's right for me might not be right for you.

Curious what other supplements you'd like me to break down — let me know in the comments 👇

I call it menoSTART, not menoPAUSE 🤍

That idea came from my mother.

For so long, menopause has been spoken about in whispers - like it’s the beginning of the end, a “pause”, a slowing down, a decline.

But what if it’s actually a beginning?

During this time our bodies are not shutting down, they’re adapting, recalibrating and evolving.

We deserve language that reflects that strength.

✨ Many women report increased confidence, emotional resilience, and reduced anxiety after menopause.

✨ Without the hormonal fluctuations of menstrual cycles, energy and mood can become more stable for some women.

✨ Research shows that regular strength training during and after menopause significantly improves metabolism, bone density, and overall quality of life.

Menopause isn’t the end of womanhood.

It’s the start of a new phase of it.

So no - I won’t call it a pause.

I call it a menoSTART. 💫

How’s your menoSTART?
