What if fear didn’t get to make the decisions anymore?

A phobia can feel incredibly powerful.

You may know logically that you are safe, yet the moment you see a spider, think about boarding a plane, face a needle, get behind the wheel or walk into the dentist, your body can react as though there is a real threat.

Your heart races.
Your breathing changes.
You feel that overwhelming urge to escape.

And sometimes, avoiding the fear can begin to affect the way you live your life.

You might turn down a holiday because of flying. ✈️
Avoid a medical appointment because of needles. 💉
Stay away from certain places because of spiders. 🕷️
Avoid motorway driving. 🚗
Dread the dentist. 🦷
Or struggle with lifts, heights, enclosed spaces, public speaking or being alone.

But imagine a life without that fear controlling you.

Imagine feeling calmer.
Imagine feeling in control.
Imagine being able to do the things you have avoided for years.

Hypnotherapy can help you work with the thoughts, feelings and learned responses associated with a phobia, helping you create a calmer response and feel more in control.

Fear may be part of your story, but it doesn’t have to decide what happens next. 💚

🤷‍♂️ Everyone is 2026 today

Do you know that today the whole world is of the same age! Today is a very special day and comes once every one thousand (1,000) years.

Your age + Your Year of birth. Everyone = 2026

It is so strange that even experts cannot explain it!

You should check it out and see that it is 2026.

Been waiting for thousands of years!

Example:
My age is 37.
I was born in the year 1987.
So 37 + 1987 = 2026.

Use your age this year.

Example:
I was born in 1951 and I am 75 years old.
1951 + 75 = 2026.

🤷‍♂️ Very interesting…

When will we escape the illusion of “Later”?

The future rarely creates more time.

It only reveals how today’s choices shaped tomorrow.

Few words have delayed more dreams than the simple promise of “later.”

“I will when I am ready.”

As if somehow, when we finish this project, there will not be another one.

As if, after our birthday, we will somehow not fancy a drink or a puff.

As if, when I finish this newsletter, there will not be another one to write. 😕

We tell ourselves we will start exercising later, repair relationships later, save money later, learn new skills later, or finally pursue meaningful goals later.

The decision feels temporary, almost insignificant.

It creates the comforting impression that nothing has been lost because the opportunity still exists.

This creates what psychologists call temporal discounting.

Human beings naturally assign greater value to immediate comfort than to distant rewards.

Yet the future imagined in these moments is often an illusion rather than a realistic plan.

The future is shaped far less by the promises we make for tomorrow than by the choices we make today.

Today’s opportunities are rarely available in the long term.

Every action either reduces the burden our future self must carry or quietly adds to it.

The promises we make for tomorrow add to our stress as the future to-do list expands beyond comfort.

The human brain has a remarkable ability to believe that tomorrow will somehow be different from today.

We assume that future versions of ourselves will be more motivated, more disciplined, less stressed, and better prepared to handle responsibilities than the person making decisions right now.

Behavioural scientists refer to this tendency as the planning fallacy and future optimism bias.

First identified by psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky in 1979, this mental trap happens even when past experience has repeatedly shown that similar work took much longer.

People consistently underestimate how long tasks will take while overestimating the amount of time and energy they will possess in the future.

This explains why calendars become filled with intentions that never become reality.

The problem is not always a lack of desire, although we all have a finite amount of time.

It is an unrealistic belief that the future will provide conditions the present cannot.

Every day carries its own responsibilities, unexpected problems, emotional ups and downs, and competing priorities.

Tomorrow is rarely less demanding than today.

In many cases, it is more demanding because today’s unfinished responsibilities have simply been added to tomorrow’s workload.

The person waiting for the perfect moment often discovers that life continues introducing new obligations faster than old ones disappear.

The person we become is not created when the perfect time finally arrives.

We create ourselves every time we refuse to let “later” decide what today already offers and requires.

The illusion of later is powerful because it feels responsible while demanding nothing in return.

It allows important opportunities to be postponed without immediate consequences, making delay seem harmless.

Yet the future is built one present moment at a time.

The sooner we stop expecting tomorrow to rescue today’s responsibilities and possibilities, the sooner our lives begin moving in the direction we truly want.

Maybe it is time for us all to consider what we truly want in the long term—and take the first step today.

Learning not for school, but for life.

If you are tired of living in the “I’ll do it later” cycle, hypnotherapy can help you create change today. Book your free discovery call through the link in my bio or visit www.hypnotherapyway.com.

Have you ever stopped yourself from doing something because of fear?

Whether it’s flying, driving, visiting the dentist, speaking in public or another phobia, fear can quietly begin making decisions for you.

Many people think they have to “live with it.”

The reality is that many phobias are learned responses. They often develop after an experience, an association, or even by witnessing someone else’s fear.

The encouraging news is that learned responses can often be changed.

Imagine what life would be like if fear no longer dictated your choices.

Imagine booking that holiday.
Driving with confidence.
Walking into an appointment feeling calm.
Living with freedom instead of avoidance.

You don’t have to let fear write the next chapter of your life.

If you’re ready to explore how hypnotherapy may help, I would love to support you.

We’re living in a world where everyone seems busy being busy.

Everywhere I look, people have their heads buried in their phones or behind a laptop. Yet right beside them could be someone who simply wants to have a conversation.

It feels as though we’ve forgotten how to truly connect. We’ve stopped looking each other in the eye. We’ve become better friends with technology than we have with people.

I’m noticing it more than ever. Phone addiction is real, and it’s quietly changing the way we relate to one another.

I’m making a conscious effort to do something different. To look people in the eye. To smile. To ask how they are. To give someone my full attention, even if it’s only for a couple of minutes.

Because those two minutes could make a world of difference to someone’s mental health.

Sometimes people aren’t looking for advice. They’re simply trying to be heard. They’re trying to be vulnerable. They’re hoping someone will listen.

Recently, being back in the workplace and surrounded by people reminded me just how important genuine human connection really is. It made me realise how much we all need to feel seen, heard and valued.

So here’s my challenge to all of us.

Put your phone down for five minutes.

Look someone in the eye.

Start a conversation.

You never know what someone is carrying, and your five minutes might be exactly what they needed today.

Let’s reconnect—with people, not just our devices. ❤️

How many meaningful conversations have you had today?

We live in a world that’s constantly connected, yet so many people have never felt more alone.

A notification can wait.
A message can wait.
But a person standing in front of you may simply need to feel heard.

Connection isn’t about how many followers you have or how many messages you send. It’s about being fully present with the people around you.

Sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone isn’t advice—it’s your attention.

Today, I encourage you to pause.

💚 Put your phone down.
💚 Look someone in the eye.
💚 Listen without interrupting.
💚 Make someone feel seen.

You never know what someone is carrying, and your kindness could be the moment that changes their day.

At Hypnotherapy Way, I believe healing often begins with feeling truly heard.

Who will you make time for today?

💬 I’d love to hear your thoughts. Have you noticed we’re becoming more connected to our devices than to each other?
