There's a big difference between implementing technology and embedding innovation into everyday practice.

It's encouraging to see organisations like Oakland Care sharing not only what they're doing, but why they're doing it. Those conversations help the whole sector learn.

Thank you for sharing.https://www.allycares.com/oakland-care-better-nights-better-care/

We're proud to see The Lawns Care Home and Registered Manager Mel Dawson featured in a recent Al Jazeera news report exploring how technology is supporting better care without replacing the human touch.

The report follows residents and colleagues at The Lawns, where Ally Cares AI monitoring system is helping care teams recognise changes in wellbeing earlier, while contributing to an 84% reduction in high-risk falls.

It also explores an important conversation for our sector about how innovation can support carers while keeping compassionate, person-centred care at the heart of everything we do.

Take a few minutes to watch the report.

There isn't a perfect technology roadmap for every care home because there isn't a perfect care home.

Every provider has different priorities, different challenges and different ambitions.

In this short video, Thomas Tredinnick explains why the best place to start isn't with technology at all. It's with understanding what you're trying to achieve and then choosing the tools that help you get there.

We'd love to hear whether you agree.

What changes when we stop asking, "How do we manage this behaviour?" and start asking, "What is this person trying to tell us?"

Sometimes the most important breakthrough is not a new intervention. It is a new understanding.

Our recent article explores why challenging behaviour is often a signal that something else is happening and why taking the time to understand the cause can transform outcomes for residents and care teams alike.

The new techUK white paper makes a compelling case for why adult social care should be at the heart of improving outcomes across the wider health and care system.

We're delighted that Ally Cares' work features on pages 38–39, showcasing how better insight into what happens overnight is helping providers deliver more personalised care while supporting safer nights and better resident outcomes.

Download a copy of the white paper here and if would like to learn more about our approach, we'd be delighted to continue the conversation. https://www.techuk.org/resource/why-digital-adult-social-care-transformation-is-central-to-the-future-of-the-nhs.html

We're incredibly proud to have been recognised as Most Innovative Care Home Technology Company for the third year running.

The award is wonderful recognition, but the real success belongs to the care providers using Ally Cares every day to improve residents' lives, support their teams and deliver better outcomes.

Thank you to every customer, partner and colleague who has been part of that journey.

We can't wait to see what we achieve together next.

If 97% of overnight checks happen whilst residents are asleep, what could your team achieve if more of that time was spent supporting the people who actually need help?

Mel Dawson, Home Manager at The Lawns, shares why asking that question changed the way her team thinks about night-time care.

Have a listen and, if you'd like to explore a different way of supporting residents overnight, get in touch with the Ally team. https://www.allycares.com/book-a-virtual-demo/

How much of what happens overnight do we never actually see?

It's a question more care providers are beginning to ask as they look for new ways to improve resident wellbeing and support their night teams.

Our latest case study shares the experience of one care home that discovered how seeing the night differently changed the way they delivered care.

We're proud to have represented Ally Cares at Tuesday's techUK showcase, where the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Rt Hon Pat McFadden MP, launched the Government's new £60 million Pathways to Work Innovation Fund.

The event brought together just eight technology companies demonstrating how innovation can improve wellbeing, support greater independence and help disabled people and people living with health conditions move towards, enter, remain in and progress in work.

It was inspiring to be part of an event focused on how technology can make a real difference to people's lives, and encouraging to see innovation recognised as an important part of creating a more preventative, person-centred future across health, care and employment.

The day doesn't end when residents go to bed.

In many ways, it starts with what happens in the hours beforehand.

More care homes are taking a fresh look at evening routines and discovering that small changes before bedtime can have a positive impact throughout the night.

Our recent article explores why twilight hours are receiving more attention than ever before and why they could be one of the most important opportunities to improve residents' wellbeing.
