HomeLink Healthcare is listed on the NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) Patient Discharge Step Down Beds Framework.

As part of this work, representatives from NHS SBS recently visited our ‘KGH at Home’ service at Kettering General Hospital, seeing first-hand how our team supports patients to leave hospital safely and continue their recovery at home.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our approach to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and the impact of our partnership with Kettering General Hospital.

We were particularly pleased to receive such positive feedback from Gabriella Coldrick, Principal Category Manager at NHS SBS, who commented: “It’s clear to see the passion you have for patient care pathways and that is reflected in your high standards and patient feedback of the quality services provided by HomeLink Healthcare's KGH at Home team.”

We’re incredibly proud of the KGH at Home team and their continued commitment to putting patients at the heart of everything they do.

Today, on Falklands Day, we remember and honour the courage, sacrifice and service of all those who served during the Falklands conflict, and those who continue to serve in our Armed Forces today.

At the heart of great healthcare is compassionate communication. 💙

When Douglas, an active 83-year-old gentleman, was diagnosed with discitis, he faced something he had never experienced before—a serious illness and the uncertainty that came with it. Like many patients, his greatest challenge wasn't only the diagnosis, but the anxiety surrounding treatment.

By taking the time to explain his condition, answer questions, and provide reassurance throughout his care at home, our team helped build the trust and confidence he needed to engage fully in his recovery after being discharged from hospital.

Douglas's story highlights the difference that person-centred care can make. Listening, empathy, and clear communication are just as important as clinical expertise in helping patients feel safe and supported.

We're grateful to Douglas for sharing his experience and wish him continued progress on his recovery journey.
