There are no words to truly express how grateful I am for the kindness shown to me by the families I have the privilege of caring for.

Cards, flowers, chocolates, and thoughtful gifts are never expected; especially during such a difficult time. The fact that families think of me (and even my dog!) means more than they will ever know.

It is an honour to do what I do, and I’m grateful for every family who has trusted me to care for their loved one.

Recently we were entrusted with the care of a wonderful lady who the family said was a “women’s woman, through and through”.

To make her day more personal to her, we provided a full team of female staff throughout; from our Funeral Service Specialist Melanie, to the Celebrant; and then the drivers and pall bearers lead by our fantastic Funeral Director, Kerry Farnes.

Not only was this very special for the family, but it was the first time that a funeral had ever been conducted with a full female crew at Thames View Crematorium & Cemetery.
