I was so excited to share the first episode of my podcast, Wanderings & Ponderings, yesterday! This morning, I celebrated with a walk along the Esk River, and treated myself to an oat latte and a vegan peanut butter and chocolate cake from 🌿☕️🍰

And the cake, by the way, was delicious! 😋

I’ll be setting up a separate Instagram page for the podcast soon. I’ll also be sharing it on YouTube.

For now, Wanderings & Ponderings is available to listen to on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. 🎧

If you’ve listened to the first episode, massive thanks! I’d love to know what you think. 💚

A beautiful deer having her breakfast beside the river this morning 🌿

Female deer are one of my spirit animals, and they’ve appeared to me as guides during shamanic journeys.

There’s something about their gentleness, sensitivity and quiet awareness that really resonates with me.

Watching this deer this morning, with the river flowing beside her, I was reminded of the quiet strength in pausing while the world flows around us.

I’m so excited to share the first episode of Wanderings & Ponderings with you. I’ve been listening to podcasts almost every day since the 2010s, so creating my own feels like a slightly surreal moment!

It’s also very much outside my comfort zone to put my own voice and thoughts out into the world in this way, but I’m so excited to finally share it with you.

A Journey Through Listening is Episode 1 of Returning to Ourselves, the first series of Wanderings & Ponderings. It’s available to listen to on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

In this episode, I share the lifelong journey that led me to therapeutic sound, and explore the possibility that listening is much more than something we simply do with our ears.

Reflecting on my relationship with music, my first sound bath in 2021, and my professional background, I explore immersive listening, and consider how allowing the mind to drift creates space for imagination, insight, and unexpected connections.

The episode also touches on the symbolic origins of Gaia Sound Journeys, altered states of consciousness, hedge riding, and the High Priestess, considering how immersive listening can open a space for curiosity, presence, and seeing ourselves and the world differently.

Perhaps listening isn't just about relaxation, but an invitation to pause, wander, imagine, feel and notice, and perhaps, ultimately, to return to ourselves.

This is a short clip from the episode. I’ll be sharing the full episode later today.
