Interested but not surprised to read this article in Psychology Today highlighting 2 recent research studies showing the increased risk of dying by su***de for women who experience depression either during pregnancy or in the first year after giving birth.
If you experience this, or know someone who is doing so, please reach out for help. I volunteer supporting women (and men) at CrossReach Perinatal service in Buckie and also in private work. there is help out there which can be transformational and life saving.

'MEDICINE FOR THE SOUL'
"Mothers should not have to bury their sons and daughters".
I was moved by this thought provoking 'BBC Radio 4 Thought for the Day' on the emotional support offered to the Armed Forces in Ukraine, by their Chaplains. Also touching on historical fragility of support for the military, it made me realise how important unconditional civilian support for those serving in our Armed Forces is.

I attended a most informative workshop today which had a strong focus on autism experience and related issues in women and girls. One of the presenters Dr Judy Eaton is Clinical Director and Consultant Clinical Psychologist at help4psychology. -

I'm fascinated by this podcast, a must listen for TV box show fans who are intrigued to hear what some of their favourite characters might discover in the therapist's chair. I especially recommend listening to these episodes: Fleabag, Eve Polaski, Shiv Roy, Beth Harmon. Anything in the fact these characters are all women I wonder?
