Yesterday, young rowers from Bedford School had a chance to meet Bermuda’s Olympian and CUBC president (2019) Dara Alizadeh.

Dara’s rowing career has been full of twist and turns, however it never stopped him from ‘sticking to his race plan’. Which was a powerful message to take away from the presentation.

At the end, students asked a variety of interesting questions including personal and everyone’s favourite: “What does Oxford have to do to start winning?” 👏

Personally, it was emotional to listen to Dara’s story as 2018/19 was my first Boat Race campaign with Cambridge University rowers and seemed like it was such a long time ago.
