What a fantastic day we had at Highbury Residential Home as we brought the beach to our garden with Sydney's Shakers Beach Party!🌴☀️
Our residents and visiting children had a wonderful time together, enjoying water games, bubbles, laughter, and plenty of splashing in the sunshine. Seeing different generations playing side by side, sharing smiles and making memories, truly warmed our hearts.
Days like these remind us of the joy that comes from bringing people together.
We may not have been by the seaside, but we certainly brought the beach party spirit to Highbury! 🌊🏖️💙

🫐 Fresh From Our Garden! 🌿

Bruce couldn't resist sampling the freshly picked blackberries straight from our garden – in fact, he had his mouth full of them when this photo was taken! Safe to say, they were thoroughly enjoyed. 😄
The blackberry harvest was a bit of an adventure for our Manager and Deputy Manager, who bravely tackled the thorny bushes to gather this delicious crop. They're still sporting a few scratches as proof of their efforts!
It's moments like these that make life at Highbury so special – enjoying the outdoors, sharing laughter, and turning homegrown produce into tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as Ash turned **70 years young**, surrounded by his loving family, residents, and staff.

Ash is truly one of a kind—a wonderful character with a passion for nature, long walks, and sharing stories from his many adventures. Whether he's talking about his travels or reminiscing about climbing **Mount Everest**, Ash always has a tale that captures everyone's imagination and leaves us smiling.

🎉🎂 **Happy 80th Birthday, Mick!** 🎂🎉

Today at Highbury Residential Home, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone as Mick turned **80 years young!** 🥳

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, delicious food, and fantastic entertainment, as Mick's family, our residents, and staff all came together to make his birthday one to remember.

A huge thank you goes to Mick's amazing family, who organised every detail of the celebration with so much love and care. Your kindness and dedication made the day truly special. ❤️

Of course, no celebration would be complete without our BBQ masters, **Sophie and John**, who did a fantastic job keeping everyone well-fed with a delicious barbecue! 🔥🍔🌭

Seeing everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating together reminded us how important family, friendship, and community are here at Highbury.
