How we talk about Reiki

We often talk about energy, alignment and balance when talking about Reiki to potential new clients but these words often don’t mean that much to people!

What you really need to hear is that Reiki can bring you deep relaxation and a release of the tension you’ve been carrying to help relax those shoulders that never drop.

You need to hear how Reiki calms the mind that keeps working long after the laptop is closed at the end of the day. You need to hear that Reiki lowers your blood pressure and calms your nervous system so that you can reconnect to that place of stillness within.

Reiki Level 1 is where the magic starts! It’s wonderful to see students giving their first treatment and realise for themselves that the energy is truly flowing.

The course is taught by Reiki Master Teacher Helen Shortland, a full-time practitioner and Holistic Therapist and Coach. Helen has nearly 25 years experience of practicing and teaching Reiki. She is a member of the Spiritual Workers Association who teaches from the authentic Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage.

In one of my meditations with Isis I was given blue cornflowers. These beautiful flowers usually bring cleansing and purification to the aura, which was perfect as I was asking for healing, but this channelled message came through at the same time.

Blue cornflowers represent inner wisdom, psychic awareness and renewal of hope. In Ancient Egypt they represented rebirth, safe passage and resurrection. They are associated with Mother Mary and are used in the home to promote peace, love and beauty. In healing they are used to cleanse and purify the aura, remove negative energy and promote spiritual clarity.

Can you feel the Goddess calling?

I was drawn to the sea so much when I began my journey into greater self love and self worth. I didn't realise at the time I was reclaiming my Divine Feminine energy. I am now walking the Path of the Rose, heeding the call of the Goddess.

The element of Water heals the sacral chakra, releasing emotional constriction, promoting flow and creativity.

The power of nature reminds us that there is something much bigger than us and that our problems are rather small in the grand scheme of things.
