✨ Share a Memory on Our Memory Trees ✨

Our Memory Trees are currently situated in our Book of Remembrance Room, where visitors are invited to leave the name of a loved one, a special memory, or a heartfelt message on one of our memory tags.

On Saturday 20th June, the Memory Trees will be moved into our chapel as part of our Open Chapel event for Father’s Day, giving visitors another opportunity to pause, reflect, and remember those who hold a special place in their hearts.

The chapel will be open from 10am until 12pm, with beautiful music playing throughout the morning. Refreshments will be available throughout the event.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to write a letter or message to a loved one and place it into our Letters to Heaven post box.

Whether you are remembering a father, grandfather, family member, friend, or someone who is simply missed, we invite you to join us for a moment of reflection and remembrance.

🕙 10am – 12pm

Everyone is welcome. No booking is required, and you are welcome to drop in at any time between 10am and 12pm.

✨ Come Take a Walk With Me ✨

During my daily walk around the gardens today, I found myself reflecting on just how many stories our grounds hold.

Every pathway, every tree, every memorial represents a life lived, a family loved, memories shared, and a legacy that continues to be remembered. Behind each special place is a unique story, and together they form a remarkable tapestry of lives that have touched so many others.

As I walked through the gardens, I was reminded of what a privilege it is to care for these spaces. We are entrusted with helping families create lasting places of remembrance, and it is a responsibility that every member of our team takes to heart.

It is a privilege we never take for granted.

Whether tending the gardens, maintaining memorials, or supporting families, we are always mindful that these grounds are far more than beautiful surroundings. They are places of love, reflection, remembrance, and connection.

So today, I’d like to invite you to come take a walk with me through the gardens and see them through my eyes - not just as a collection of memorials, but as a place where countless stories continue to be remembered every day. 💚

🌸🌿 A Splash of Summer is Arriving! 🌿🌸

Our Grounds Team were hard at work last week planting our beautiful summer bedding plants and creating stunning hanging baskets which will bring an extra pop of colour throughout the grounds once they are all in bloom.

And we’re not finished yet! There is still more planting to be completed over the coming weeks, with even more seasonal colour set to brighten the gardens.

Next week, our Grounds Team will continue their fantastic work caring for the grounds, including tackling those stubborn weeds that thrive in the warmer weather, mowing the lawns, and ensuring the gardens remain a beautiful and cherished place for all who visit.

🌿💕 Planting with Purpose- The Salix Flamingo Tree 💕🌿

Have you spotted our beautiful Salix trees looking particularly vibrant at the moment?

Now in full leaf, these striking trees can be found throughout some of our private gardens, bringing a wonderful splash of colour and interest to the landscape. Their distinctive pink, cream and green foliage makes them a real focal point during the warmer months.

The name Salix Flamingo comes from the tree’s spectacular flamingo-pink leaf tips, which emerge in spring and resemble the vibrant feathers of a flamingo. As the season progresses, the colourful foliage continues to create a beautiful display, adding both character and softness to the gardens.

For families creating a special place of remembrance, the Salix Flamingo is one of the tree options available within our private gardens. Many choose it not only for its beauty, but also for the colour, life and seasonal interest it brings year after year.

We think you’ll agree they’re looking absolutely stunning at the moment. 🌸🌿

📸 If you’re visiting the grounds, keep an eye out for these colourful trees and take a moment to admire their beautiful display. 💕

✨ Garden Court Glow Up! ✨

Have you noticed that our Garden Court is looking a little brighter lately?

Our grounds team have been working hard to carefully clean and restore the granite, helping to bring back more of its original colour and appearance. It’s amazing what a difference a little care and attention can make!

Did you know that Garden Court is affectionately known by some families and visitors as the “Pink Palace”? This unique memorial area features beautiful pink granite with bronze plaques, creating a distinctive and elegant place of remembrance within our grounds.

We’re incredibly proud of the ongoing work our grounds team carry out throughout the crematorium, helping to ensure our memorial areas remain peaceful, well cared for, and looking their very best for the families who visit them.

There are just a few finishing touches remaining, including some repointing of the paving and a little weeding, before the project is fully complete

📸 Keep an eye out for the transformation next time you’re visiting us – we think the Garden Court is looking better than ever! 💕🌿
