This Sunday, two members of the KASE Care team are taking on the London Marathon 🏃‍♀️

Our Director, Kimberley, and HR Manager, Danielle, have been training for months and are ready to take on this incredible challenge.

They are running in support of Breakthrough T1D, a charity that means a great deal to Kimberley and her family, as well as to many of the families we support. Type 1 Diabetes is something that impacts daily life in ways many people don’t see, and the work Breakthrough T1D does to fund research and improve lives is so important.

This isn’t just about running 26.2 miles, it’s about raising awareness, supporting families, and being part of something bigger.

We’re incredibly proud of the compassion and professionalism our carers show every day.

Trust does not arrive just because someone is qualified.

Qualifications matter. Training matters. Experience matters.

But when you are entrusting someone with the care of a person you love, trust is not built on certificates alone.

It is built on presence.
On tone.
On consistency.
On the small, repeated moments that show someone is truly there.

As both a parent and a care provider, I understand how carefully people assess those first interactions. Trust is rarely instant. It grows when actions match words.

Trust feels different when it’s your loved one.

Today we’re sharing Kimberley’s latest blog, reflecting on what trust really means in care.

Entrusting someone else with the care of a person you love is never just practical. It is personal. In this piece, Kimberley writes openly about what it feels like to rely on others, both as a parent and as a care provider, and why consistency, integrity, and transparency matter so deeply.

The blog also explores the reality behind care delivery, including how providers work to balance consistency with the unpredictability of real life, while never compromising on skill or standards.
