Lovely visit to Sturton Swans WI yesterday evening and a pleasure to meet you all. Thank you all for a warm welcome and all your support.

Bob’s Brainwaves is a charity that the Sturton Swans are proud to support and at our next meeting we will be hearing more about the fantastic work that the charity does.
When faced with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s many families and carers need practical help and guidance on many issues and Bob’s Brainwaves provides just this with a “help pack” containing all sorts of useful information, forms and activity ideas.
At our next meeting on Tuesday 11 August we will be learning about the charity and the work it does and learning more about how a diagnosis of dementia can affect us.
We would love to welcome you for the evening at Sturton village hall at 7.30pm
Always a warm welcome along with refreshments and a raffle!

I have been determined to carry on with all my visits.

Just a bit of a round up of recent talks and visits to hi-light our packs and Widgit signs for around the home. These pictures are from Alford Memory cafe this week. A grand welcome is awaiting you all. Thank you for the coffee and cake and chats. I love coming to see you all.

Also we had a great session at Trinity this Wednesday. Seated Keep Fit to the golden oldies and there was a whole lot of singing going on.

And…. Thanks for inviting Hilary and I to Cleethorpes Golf Club Ladies Luncheon Club for a super afternoon tea. I went through the Bob’sBrainwaves pack and you were a very attentive audience. Thank you for your support. I hope you can spread the word.

My lovely Bob passed away on 18th July with me at his side. Myself and our sons would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone for all your cards, messages of support and taking the time to share lovely memories of Bob before this disease hit. He was truly a one off and for our time together I am truly grateful. This tribute came recently and I thought I’d share it with you too.

I met Melanie Onn Grimsby MP and showed her our packs and our plans for the future. She was really supportive and we are excited to follow up with her. Big Thank yous to Grimsby Mayor Marion Boyd for this fundraiser for one of her chosen charities- us! The Lifeboat Association Charity were also on hand and we had a great catch up.
We met some lovely people and Ian Boyd ( Marion’s son) did a fantastic job with organising and letting us hold the event at his home. Thank you one and all. Thank you to Bridget for the Pimms basket donation and for keeping me company.
