I hope you’ve had a wonderful summer - filled with sunshine, laughter, memories and time for yourself. ☀️

As we look towards autumn, routines often start to return. Calendars fill up, school runs begin, to-do lists grow and we start thinking about everything that needs to be done.

But amongst all those plans, don’t forget to put yourself on the list. 🤍

Your health. Your wellbeing. Your time.

Whether that means booking that appointment you’ve been putting off, making time for exercise, prioritising rest or simply checking in with how you’re feeling - you deserve to be a priority too.

✨ This autumn, make yourself part of the plan.

It was a real privilege to speak at last night’s menopause support group.

There is something incredibly powerful about women coming together to share their stories, ask questions, laugh, learn, and remind one another that they’re not alone.

For generations, women have gathered in community through life’s transitions, offering wisdom, reassurance, and support. Menopause is no exception. There is something special about sitting in a room with women who simply get it. These conversations remind us that while every menopause journey is unique, none of us needs to walk it in isolation.

Thank you to everyone who came along this evening, shared so openly, and created such a warm, supportive atmosphere. It was a privilege to be part of the conversation.

Here’s to continuing to build communities where women feel seen, heard, informed, and empowered - and to keeping alive the timeless tradition of women supporting women. 🤍

Thank you Sally Warrilow for inviting me 🫶

1. Long walks in the countryside. Getting outside in nature always helps calm and ground me. Life can be busy so this is a great way to switch off and be more present 🌿
2. Strength training is one of my favourite ways to exercise. It’s so important for women to lift weights as part of our exercise routine as it helps with bone health and maintain muscle. 💪
3. Watching the sunrise. There is no better way to start the day - early morning light boosts serotonin and helps maintain your circadian rhythm. 🌅
4. Spending time with family and friends. Laughter and conversations with friends is literally the best medicine 🤍

Looking after yourself doesn’t have to be complicated. Simple things can make the biggest difference to how we feel and can really help with menopause symptoms too.

What have you done this week to look after your wellbeing? 🌊🤍

Too many women walk away from healthcare appointments feeling unheard.

Not just in menopause—but across midwifery and gynaecology too.

You know your body.
You know when something isn’t right.
And you deserve to be listened to.

Perimenopause can bring a wave of symptoms—brain fog, low energy, overwhelm—and yet so many women are told:
“you’re too young”
“it’s just stress”
“maybe you need antidepressants”

It’s frustrating.
It’s disheartening.
And it shouldn’t be happening.

At The Coastal Women’s Clinic, listening is where we start.

Because sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer is simple:
✨ to hear you
✨ to validate your experience
✨ to reassure you that what you’re going through is real—and often completely normal
✨ and to guide you through your options with care and clarity

One of the things I hear most from women?
“Thank you for listening.”

You deserve that. Every time. 🤍
