This week’s target: Are your First Aid certificates up to date? 🩹⏰

It’s easy to lose track of training dates when you’re busy running a business, but would your team be prepared if an emergency happened today?

Take 5 minutes to check:

📅 Expiry dates – Are your First Aid certificates still valid?

👥 Staff coverage – Do you have enough trained first aiders to cover holidays, sickness and different shifts?

🩹 Confidence – Would your first aiders feel confident stepping in during an emergency?

📚 Refresher training – Have your first aiders kept their skills fresh?

🎯 Your Target Tuesday challenge: Check your team’s First Aid training records and identify anyone who may need a refresher or renewal course.

Remember, First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates are valid for 3 years, but annual refresher training is strongly recommended.

Well halfway through my holiday in Monte Gordo on the Algarve. (There’s a story there for another time.) It’s well into the 20’s a little bit to warm for me but nice. This morning on my early walk I was on a mission to find a Public Access AED. ( Should have just Googled it as there are none! ). I did find this(see picture). Apparently there is an underlying effort on population control. Birth control is easily accessible. Whereas no AED’s readily available, means you stay dead. I picked the wrong town to holiday in 😳. There are some AED’s hidden away apparently, but can only be used by officially trained personnel !!!
