Spiral of Light: Crystal Therapy, Sound Therapy and Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, Crystals, and Sound Therapy in Lowestoft and Norwich with an award-winnin The day residents loved doing something active.

Hi, I’m Katina Chapman and I run Spiral of Light, offering a wide range of alternative therapies that compliment each other. Each therapy is designed to help you empower your life, build confidence and feel stronger and healthier. I worked for 20 years in Human Resources; my last post was as Head of Human Resources for Otley College. I left in February 2011, to pursue my passion for alternative th

erapies. I specialise in Sound Therapy, Crystal Therapy and Hypnotherapy. I trained with Crystal Dimensions, the British Academy of Sound Therapy and Mindful Based Therapies. As part of my Sound Therapy case studies I worked with students with learning difficulties at Otley College. I noticed my dad, who is 92, enjoyed playing the drum with me. It occurred to me that if he enjoyed playing other people his age might also enjoy drumming. I arranged with Stradbroke Court Day Centre (Lowestoft) to run a drum circle – the response was amazing. Since then I’ve been going into various residential homes and day centres in Lowestoft working with the elderly and adults with learning difficulties. The response has been really positive. For example I’ve noticed one group with dementia, over a period of weeks, recognise me when I walk in and once we start drumming they remember the simple rhythms, they also have become more talkative. On the crystal side I hold individual sessions and regular workshops which help people identify beliefs that are holding them back, build their confidence and take charge of their life. Both Crystal Therapy and Sound Therapy work on the principle that well-being on all levels is caused by the free flow of energy. When energy is blocked, mental and emotional imbalances are created. We hold our emotions in our energy body. If we have sadness, or an anger from the past, that we haven’t let go of, we hold it in the energy body. If not released, eventually it will manifest as a physical illness. The healing therapies compliment each other perfectly. Crystals and Sound help as a source of transformation in your life, by helping you to explore your personal inner worlds to discover your beliefs, attitudes, and actions, which may be limiting your ability. Your higher self then allows these discoveries to flow through to your sub-conscious and conscious minds allowing you to make the change. Energy Interference Patterning helps to release any deep-rooted beliefs that are no longer serving you. My aim is to other affordable sessions to help you improve your life, with group sessions starting at £6 per person. If you would like to know more, please contact me by email [email protected] or by telephone 01502 58 73 41. With love and blessings,

Katina

Is there a part of your life that looks fine from the outside but doesn’t feel quite right on the inside?

Sometimes we become so accustomed to coping that we forget to ask ourselves what we actually need.

I wonder what would bring a little more ease into your life.

Complete this sentence: “I would feel more like myself if…”

Not every transformation arrives with a dramatic fanfare.

Sometimes change sounds like:

“I handled that differently.”

“I didn’t overthink it this time.”

“I felt anxious, but I knew what to do.”

“I finally feel more like myself.”

These quiet changes can be enormously meaningful. They show that something is beginning to shift, not only in how a person feels, but in how they respond to life.

It is always a privilege to witness those moments.

🧩What piece of the puzzle is missing from your life?

Perhaps it is greater calm, confidence or connection. Maybe it is a sense of purpose, more enjoyment, freedom from an old pattern or simply the space to pause and remember what *you* need.

Sometimes we know exactly what is missing. At other times, we only recognise the feeling that something isn’t quite right.

And sometimes the missing piece isn’t something outside us at all. It is a part of ourselves that has become hidden beneath stress, fear, responsibility or the habit of putting everyone else first.

Change doesn’t mean that you are broken or incomplete. It may simply mean releasing what has kept you stuck and reconnecting with the calm, confident and capable person already within you.

🧩If you could add one thing to your life or let one thing go what would it be?

September often feels like a natural reset.

The summer begins to soften into autumn, familiar routines return and there is a gentle sense of beginning again.

But a reset doesn’t have to mean setting ambitious goals or placing yourself under more pressure.

It might mean creating a calmer morning routine, making more time for something you enjoy, protecting your energy, asking for support or simply choosing to speak to yourself more kindly.

As we enter the final third of the year, take a moment to pause and ask yourself:

**What would I like more of in the months ahead and what small change would help me create it?**

What intention will you carry into September?

Today is World Entrepreneurs’ Day — and I’m proud to be a Hypnopreneur! 🎉

For me, entrepreneurship isn’t simply about owning a business.

It’s about creating something that reflects what I believe in.

I believe people deserve to feel heard rather than judged.

I believe change can happen at any age.

I believe we are often far more capable than we have been led to believe.

And I believe that helping one person feel calmer, more confident and back in control can create ripples that reach into their relationships, families, work and wider lives.

My practice began with a desire to help. Since then, it has grown to include hypnotherapy, mindfulness, training, writing and mentoring the next generation of hypnotherapists.

There have been challenges, plenty of learning and many moments outside my comfort zone, but there have also been wonderful people, beautiful breakthroughs and more reasons than I can count to feel grateful.

So today, I’m celebrating my fellow hypnotherapists, therapists and heart-led business owners who have built businesses around helping others.

And if you have been quietly wondering whether hypnotherapy might help you, perhaps this is your invitation to find out. 🧡

I offer sessions in Lowestoft, Norwich and online. You’re welcome to contact me for an informal conversation about what you would like help with.

“I didn’t know hypnotherapy could help with that.”

It’s something I hear surprisingly often.

People don’t only come to see me to stop smoking or overcome a fear of flying, although I help with those too.

People may seek hypnotherapy because they want support with:

🧡 Anxiety, panic or overthinking
🧡 Confidence and self-esteem
🧡 Fears and phobias
🧡 Sleep difficulties
🧡 Stress and overwhelm
🧡 Unwanted habits
🧡 Public speaking or performance nerves
🧡 Chronic pain management
🧡 Feeling calmer and more in control

Sometimes the difficulty has been present for years. Sometimes it began after a particular experience. And sometimes a person can’t explain why they feel the way they do, they simply know they are ready for something to change.

Hypnotherapy is not about somebody taking control of your mind. It is a collaborative process that helps you use your own mind differently.

You may have more ability to change than you currently realise. 💙

I offer appointments in Lowestoft, Norwich and online across the UK.

Why did I become a hypnotherapist?

My journey began with someone very close to my heart — my husband, Neil.

Following an accident in 2009, Neil was left with a crushed spine and severe chronic pain. I completed a short hypnosis course and was amazed by what happened when we began using the techniques together.

On a pain scale where 10 was unbearable and 0 was no pain, we were temporarily able to reduce his pain from a 10 to a 3.

It wasn’t a cure, and it wasn’t magic. But it showed me just how powerfully the mind and body can work together... and it changed the direction of my life.

I enrolled on a longer hypnotherapy course, opened my practice and discovered how much I loved helping people feel calmer, more confident and more in control.

Years later, I’m still just as passionate about this work.

Every time someone tells me they have done something they once thought they couldn’t do, I’m reminded why I began. 🧡

I’m proud to be a Hypnopreneur! 🧡

This Friday is World Entrepreneurs’ Day, and I’m joining hypnotherapists around the world to celebrate .

When I first trained as a hypnotherapist, I didn’t really think of myself as an entrepreneur. I simply knew that I wanted to help people make positive changes in their lives.

Yet somewhere along the way, I created a business too.

I opened my own hypnotherapy practice, began seeing clients in Lowestoft, Norwich and online, built a website, wrote a book, became a trainer and created a space where people could feel welcomed, understood and supported.

So, this week I’m going to share a little more about why I became a hypnotherapist, the people I help and some of the many reasons people come to see me.

Because someone may be struggling with something right now without realising that hypnotherapy could help.

Watch this space… 💙

Being “tough” doesn’t have to mean pushing through while silently struggling.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is recognise that something needs to change, and allow yourself to receive support.

Hypnotherapy can help you quieten an overactive mind, build confidence and respond to life’s challenges in a calmer, more helpful way.

You don’t have to keep doing everything the hard way.

Burnout isn’t proof that you’ve failed. It’s often a sign that you’ve been strong for too long without enough rest, support or space to breathe.

You don’t need to wait until you have absolutely nothing left to give before taking care of yourself.

Pause. Listen to what your mind and body need. Getting support isn’t giving up, it may be the first step towards getting back up.
