Open Door Policy At Funerals By Mark Drake Behind our doors lies a highly organised, and respectful environment divided into specific areas. It is a place where my dedicated team balances strict hygiene and clinical care with deep emotional support for grieving families.
Here is what it really looks like inside:
1. The Arrangement and Family Areas
Arrangement Rooms: These are quiet, private offices where families sit with a funeral director to discuss logistics, select coffins, and plan the service.
Chapels of Rest: Intimate, peaceful viewing rooms where families can spend time with their loved one before the funeral. These are kept quiet and comforting, personalised with soft lighting and music.
2. The Care and Preparation Suite (Mortuary)
This is the clinical, highly regulated heart of the operation. Strict health and safety protocols are maintained at all times.
A sterile, hospital-like environment where embalmers (or technicians) respectfully wash, dress, and prepare the deceased for viewing or burial.
Refrigeration Units: State-of-the-art, temperature-controlled facilities are used to ensure the dignified and safe preservation of the deceased.
3. The Coffin Workshop and Showroom
Coffin Showroom: A dedicated space where families can view different types of coffins and caskets, ranging from traditional wood and metal to eco-friendly wicker or cardboard options.
Administration Offices: The logistical center where staff manage essential paperwork, including death certificates, burial or cremation permits, and liaise with clergy, venues.
We are so proud to lead the way in everything we do.
Best Always Mark & The Team
