Buckingham Lodge Raises £970 for East Anglian Air Ambulance 💪💜

Staff at Buckingham Lodge were very proud to be able to hand over a whopping £970 to East Anglian Air Ambulance following their 4th Annual Car and Bike Show organised by Homes Administrator Millie Sadd.

The cheque was received by EAAA volunteer Terry Hawes, who knows first-hand how vital the charity's work is. “This will be used to change lives” he said, adding that with “costs rising all the time – every donation no matter how big or small is appreciated”

Congratulations to Oana Lungan, who raised £350 for Alzheimer's Society 💪

Oana Lungan, manager of Kingsley Healthcare’s Brooke House Care Home took on the Trek26 Norfolk Coast challenge on the 1st of August

Oana said: “Because I have worked with people living with dementia for so many years, the charity is very close to my heart. I would like to thank everyone who supported me in this challenge, including friends, residents’ families and colleagues.”

Eversley Lodge Nursing Home has been awarded the Gold Standards Framework's (GSF) prestigious Platinum Award, the highest recognition available for end-of-life care in the UK!

This isn't given for a single moment of good practice. It's reserved for homes that show a sustained, embedded culture of compassionate, person-centred care for our residents and their families, right through to the end of life. We're so proud that the team's dedication has been recognised in this way.

GSF's accreditation assessor said: “What makes Eversley stand out is the enthusiasm, the commitment to deliver GSF and the grounding they have to review data and improve the care delivery for end-of-life residents.”

Eversley Lodge’s Home Manager, Danielle Bullent, said it best:
"This means so much to all of us at Eversley Lodge. End-of-life care is one of the most important things we do, and it's a real privilege to walk alongside our residents and their families during that time. A Promise Kept: Violet's Return to Caister Lifeboat

Back in January, on Violet's 103rd birthday, she made a wish: to return to Caister Lifeboat Station, the place so close to her heart. Thanks to activities coordinator Lauren Nield-Keeley, that wish came true.

Violet, a resident at St Mary's Care Home and her late husband Stewart retired to the village near Great Yarmouth in 1988, and became firm friends and fundraisers for the lifeboat crew. Today she enjoyed tea in the café and reminisced with current joint coxswain Owen Nutt, who stopped for a chat and a photo.

Moments like these highlight the heart of person-centred care, supporting residents to relive memories and stay connected to their passions 💜

Congratulations to our incredible trio – Wendy, Dee and Amelia – who took on a gruelling 13-mile trek along the north Norfolk coast in aid of Alzheimer's Society and raised a brilliant £935!💪

Starting and finishing at Holkham Hall and taking in the picturesque coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea, the challenge took just over five hours to complete. Wendy told us: "It was a hot day but we all got round without any problems apart from one or two blisters and a bit of stiffness afterwards."

She added that our care homes support so many people living with dementia, which is why Alzheimer's Society is a cause so close to their hearts. 💙💜

We’re incredibly proud to share that Kirkley Manor Care Home is the first care home in Lowestoft to receive hospice end-of-life care accreditation from St Elizabeth Hospice

Manager Sarah Blackburn shared, "This accreditation reflects our deep commitment to ensuring that every resident receives the highest standard of care, respect and compassion at the end of their life."

Gunton Estate Community Hall had a bright new look when locals came along for their popular Wednesday coffee morning.

For the venue in Hollingsworth Road, Lowestoft, has been completely repainted thanks to a donation from Kingsley Healthcare.

Thanking Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan for his donation, hall chairman Jonathan Shires said: “Our coffee morning attracts upwards of 30 people every week, from mums with young children to retired people. Some of the older people say it is the only time of the week they get out of their house and socialise.”

Kingsley spokesman Stephen Pullinger said: “We are passionate about supporting local communities. Kingsley started in Lowestoft and even though the business has grown into a top 20 UK care provider, the town is very close to our hearts.”

🍔☀️ An Afternoon of Appreciation at Bressingham Hall

On Wednesday 15th July, East Managers came together at Bressingham Hall for a summer BBQ to celebrate the continued growth of the business and, most importantly, the incredible people who make it all possible.

The afternoon brought together managers from across the region, including our Home Care branches, for great food, meaningful conversations, and the chance to recognise the dedication, commitment, and hard work shown by our teams every day.

It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on shared successes, strengthen connections, and thank everyone for their ongoing passion and support. Here's to celebrating our achievements together and the exciting journey ahead! 💜

A huge congratulations to Iona, one of the lucky winners of our luxury hamper draw at the Norfolk Show! 🎉💜

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and made the day such a wonderful success. It was a pleasure meeting so many people, introducing them to our care homes and Kingsley Home Care, and sharing everything we do to support people in our local communities.

We hope everyone who visited had a fantastic day.

We're already looking forward to next year!
