June brought up a lovely idea for a Christmas fun afternoon for the little ones that included residents dressing up, Paul as Father Christmas and more. They had some great idea’s this afternoon and they all have been noted for planning.

Arend was talking to us in Dutch and I asked him to teach us some words. We helped him in making a useful canvas of useful words and sayings in Dutch and English.

It was great watching him connect well with the activity and to hear him explain to us in his own way.

The canvas is in his room on the wall. This was a great way to introduce Arend to the other residents and connect them as a group.

Residents had an arts and crafts activity this evening, again varied activities to suit the residents abilities. We had some colouring, creating, glueing, cutting out, and some sticking. We also worked on some Dutch sayings and added to a board to help new resident Arend settle. He has these words and sayings on a canvas in his room. 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱

This afternoon we had a Musical afternoon with a music quiz, Name that tune, Sing along all in one to cover a variety of abilities. Residents could then connect to the activity and engage with it at their level. It was a fun and engaging activity. 🎼🎶
