During the week we visited the stunning Henstead Pavilion.

It is beautiful and its clear that the team there care a great deal about what they offer. A lovely place to gather following a funeral and we hope to work with them soon.

We are not sure Skipper was convinced about Mum giving attention to a visitor at the Great Yarmouth branch, however these guys became friends and it was very sweet!

As national dog day comes to an end and Skipper is (rather closely!) chilling with Jen after a busy day, we hope those 4 legged family members have been celebrated.

Dogs are incredible during bereavement, often picking up on our emotions and even giving us an opportunity to smile through really tough times.

Pets are family too. 🄰

New staff member!

Kiya is based at Murrants of Lowestoft but also pops to our other branches when needed.

She is learning how to arrange funerals and support families and has already been an integral part of assisting with some goodbyes for special people.

Kiya lives in Lowestoft and has 2 sons, she is empathetic and in tune with what is needed in any situation. She has fitted in perfectly with team Murrants and we are very proud to be able to watch her flourish in her position as funeral operative.

You may well see Kiya out and about in the community so do say hello!

Every little thing matters.

Is the motto that we stand by, every day, with everything we do.

Sometimes that means a traditional funeral service, other times it means ensuring a loved one has letters from Grandchildren with them, or gets their last shave.

It can mean going over and above to go 'out there' to celebrate a life, or inviting a four legged family member to a funeral arrangement meeting.

Whether it is us being involved in the community, or providing a lovely space to meet with us which includes a relaxing fish tank......

We are proud that we can live up to our belief that once again, every little thing matters.

A bit of a re introduction if you find yourself on our page.

After looking after families from our 2 Norfolk branches for the last 20 years, we are now in Lowestoft and can look after people from all villages and surrounding areas.

For a cost in-between unattended cremation and a full crematorium service, we have a 20 seated service room in Yarmouth for both formal services and our informal memory gatherings should you have a smaller family or want something different. We can be flexible to meet your needs and pride ourselves on this.

We are truly independent and are a small team with an ethos of 'every little thing matters'. Jen, Jay and our wonderful family feel team will look after you from first contact through to the funeral itself.

We have already been honoured to assist Suffolk families from our branch on Battery Green Road and we are available 24/7 if you need us.

After Robert Bush in Hull has been sentenced to 20 years in prison, many of our friends in the funeral profession have spoken out and we are doing the same because we are horrified by the actions of this man. We feel enormously for the families who are impacted.

At Murrants we feel absolutely honoured to do what we do. It's not 'just a job' to anyone who is part of a funeral directors who are doing things as they should be.

We are members of SAIF and we have extremely high standards of care, attention to detail and records from the moment we speak to a family both in our offices and 'behind the scenes'. This includes written paperwork and digital tracking of everything including belongings, ashes and charitable donations among everything we have put in place as well as identification of deceased people being of a 'belt and braces' approach.

We do this because we truly care, can be held accountable and want to do everything we can to regulate ourselves, before as an industry we have official standards we are regulated by; something we welcome.

Please be reassured that this man's actions have shocked our profession to the core and your chosen funeral director should be open, transparent and happy to answer any and all questions you have.

Murrants are available to talk, we believe that every little thing matters.
