Friday Foot Check

Before the weekend, take 60 seconds to have a proper look at your feet.

A few simple things to notice:

• Has your skin become particularly dry or hard in any areas?
• Have you noticed any changes to your nails?
• Are your shoes creating rubbing or pressure anywhere?
• Is there anything that looks or feels different from what is normal for you?

Not every change means there is a problem or that treatment is needed. Simply becoming familiar with your own feet can help you recognise when something has changed.

A little attention now can be much easier than waiting until your feet become uncomfortable.

A little fizz for tired feet…

One of the products I enjoy using is Dermatonics Deodorising Fizzy Foot Foam.

The foam creates its distinctive fizzing sensation as it is applied and is designed to help cool, deodorise and refresh hot or tired feet. It contains menthol and New Zealand Manuka Honey too.

It’s a lovely option when your feet are feeling hot and in need of a refresh, and the fizz makes it a little different from your usual foot-care products.

Sometimes good foot care is also about finding products that are enjoyable and easy to incorporate into your routine.

Professional foot care doesn’t stop when you leave the clinic. The right home-care products can form an important part of maintaining your feet between appointments.
