🥾 4,200KM. 10 MONTHS. ONE INCREDIBLE MISSION. 💚

We had a very special visitor to Active Therapy Clinic recently!

Jonathan popped in to see us after developing plantar fasciitis and foot pain — perhaps not entirely surprising when you hear just how far he’s walking! 😅👣

Jonathan is currently completing the Finding Peace of Mind Walk 2026 — an incredible 4,200km journey taking him from the Shetland Islands through Scotland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland, before finishing in Galway.

But this journey is about so much more than the miles. 💚

Jonathan describes his walk as a living symbol of mental health — beginning in the darkness of winter and moving, step by step, towards brighter days.

Along the way, he is sharing more than 50 years of lived experience of mental health, recovery and neurodiversity, giving talks in workplaces, schools and community groups and encouraging people to keep talking openly about mental wellbeing.

He’s also raising money for four fantastic mental-health charities:

💚 SAMH – Scotland
💚 Mind – England & Wales
💚 Aware NI – Northern Ireland
💚 Aware – Ireland

We were delighted to welcome Jonathan into the clinic, help him with his foot and, of course, grab a quick photo with our reception team before he continued on his way! 📸
