Stefan, Emma & Kelsey saved a little boy’s life who was found lifeless having drowned in a pond…their quick thinking made all the difference, and Stefan’s recent refresher training meant he had the confidence and knowledge to take action and he knew what to do…

Ask yourself if you would know what to do if you were ever faced with a situation like this whilst out for a walk in a park? Would you have have confidence in your skills and knowledge? If the answer is no, please consider coming along to one of our classes and spend just a couple of hours learning lifesaving skills in a relaxed and friendly setting. 🥰

This is Stefan. He found a toddler lying face down in a duck pond when his quick thinking saved his life. ❤️🙏

We reported yesterday about two hero nurses helped save a little boy - https://www.facebook.com/100066488558064/posts/1397054635854142/

The reason they were able to save the boy's life was because Stefan took action first.

He dropped his bag and his dog lead to dive straight into the water when he spotted the toddler.

His wife Sophie was left hysterical on the bank as Stefan pulled the unresponsive child onto dry land.

Noticing the little boy was not breathing, Stefan began performing chest compressions.

Yet the toddler's mouth was locked shut, making it impossible to open, though water began dribbling out as Stefan pressed on his chest.

Sophie ran to find help, alerting two off-duty nurses attending a wedding at nearby

Nurses Kelsey Pirie and Emma Brown kicked off their heels and ran over to take over CPR efforts.

They spent five minutes performing compressions and rescue breaths on the boy, who initially had no pulse.

The three-year-old eventually began breathing again just as an air ambulance and paramedics arrived at the scene.

The toddler was taken to hospital in a stable condition following the rescue.

Stefan says he would not have known what to do if he had not taken a first aid refresher course fortnight prior for his job as a support worker.

He said: "I had a refresher course only two weeks before this happened and without it I wouldn't have had a clue what to do. If more people knew these skills it would save a lot more lives, especially in this weather with people out swimming."

And while the rescue was a success, Stefan revealed he has suffered from terrifying nightmares about his own son since that day.

He said: "When I sleep, because I was having dreams that it was George drowning and I couldn't save him, I dived in and I couldn't find him. I was waking up and in a panic."

Stefan, Emma, and Kelsey have all been nominated by police for a Royal Humane Society bravery award.

It was an amazing thing you did Stefan and that little boy is alive because of your actions. You should all be so proud of yourselves. ❤👏

Thank you so much to Clive and Kelly for bravely telling their story and giving permission for this amazing footage to be shared in order to encourage others to learn first aid skills and to raise awareness of the importance of acting quickly and using an AED! 💪❤️

We’re really pleased to hear that Clive has thankfully since made a great recovery and this is the second anniversary of his cardiac arrest.

🚑 Would you know what to do if you needed to help a loved one in a similar situation?
🚑 Perhaps you may have learnt first aid some years ago and could do with a refresher?

Please consider getting first aid trained as it only take a few hours but may well prove to be time well spent should you ever need to call on your skills and knowledge!

Trigger warning- this video shows Clive having a cardiac arrest and Kelly subsequently saving his life by performing CPR and using an AED.

At Mini First Aid, we are incredibly proud to support Children's Burns Trust, whose work over the last 25 years has helped educate families, prevent life-changing burn injuries and provide vital support to children and families when the unimaginable happens.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, some of the Mini First Aid network is taking on a fundraising challenge throughout August.

Together, franchisees and trainers from across the UK will walk the distance from Mini First Aid HQ to the Children’s Burns Trust HQ - an amazing 150 miles. Every step we take will help raise awareness of burns prevention, first aid and the fantastic work of the Children’s Burns Trust.

Throughout August you can expect:
💚 Burns prevention and first aid tips
🚶 Updates from our 150-mile challenge

💚Opportunities to donate both online and at classes, with every penny going directly to the Children’s Burns Trust

💚As a Mini First Aid trainer, I know just how quickly a burn can happen and how important it is to know what to do in those first crucial moments. If, together, we can help prevent even one child from suffering a serious burn or give one parent the confidence to act, every step will have been worth it.

Our challenge today, and we’d love you to come along on the journey. Whether you donate, share our posts, join one of our classes or simply help us spread these life-saving messages, you’ll be making a difference.

Here’s to 150 miles, raising awareness, and celebrating 25 incredible years of the Children’s Burns Trust 💚

This new video beautifully captures the story of how Freddie's Wish - Warwickshire came to be, and Charlotte and Annabel have done a wonderful job of sharing Freddie’s story and explaining everything so eloquently and personally. 🥰

I feel super proud and indeed honoured to partner with this wonderful charity, and I’d like to give them a massive shout out and to help deservedly raise their profile even further if I can! 🙌
I’d be really grateful if those that already follow my page could also give Freddie’s Wish a like and a follow and to share this post if possible please! 🥰🙏👏

Charlotte and her family do such wonderful work in helping so many others every day with both the grief counselling provision as well as the first aid training, and it would be great for even more people to know about the support they can offer.

Thanks also to Wayne for producing such a great video and for your help in guiding this novice on the day during filming!! 😉

It’s fantastic hearing that these boys knew what to do when faced with an emergency having been taught basic first aid skills and learning about what3words. We cover this and lots more at our Kids Classes, the next of which takes place in Burbage on Monday 10th August (link below)!

From September 2026, schools across England will be expected to meet new statutory allergy guidance introduced through Benedict’s Law.

With around one in 13 children now living with a food allergy, the new guidance aims to ensure every school has consistent procedures in place to reduce the risk of allergic reactions, and respond quickly and confidently if an emergency occurs.

Now is the time to review your school’s allergy procedures and prepare your staff.

Love this! 🥰 Here’s to the next 33 years of continued success with your great family business The Baby Barn Pram & Nursery Centre! 🙌 I’m proud to have enjoyed working with you pretty much since I started running Mini First Aid Warwickshire 9 years ago and we love running our classes at the shop! 💚

Before there was The Baby Barn, there was this.

The same fields. The same family. The same belief that looking after people matters.

Over 30 years later, that hasn’t changed. Every customer who walks through our doors becomes part of the story we’re still writing.

Thank you for supporting a family business that’s proud of where it came from—and excited about where it’s going.
