We held our annual Summer Party this afternoon. The sun shone and we all enjoyed ourselves. We had a performance from the Majorettes and we had a BBQ and cake. We raised some money for Alzheimer's Research by having a Guess the name of the Teddy Bear game , Guess the number of sweets in a jar, a tombola, a raffle , a secondhand book stall and plants- some of which were grown by our very own Garden Club. Thank you to all those who came along and joined in with the fun and games. 😊

Today we had a visit from Sharandys Birds of Prey . Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed it very much. 🦉

July so far ..flower arranging, a trip to River Cottage for coffee & cake, a lovely visit from the Explorer Scouts who joined us for crafts and games, excercises, a gentleman's lunch at Hunters Lodge , watching the tennis and football, baking cakes and listening to wonderful singers. And we still have more exciting things to come 😊

Enjoying the Tractor Run, checking on the strawberry plants, talking to the cows, making fudge for National Fudge Day and celebrating birthdays..we certainly keep busy ☺️

What a lovely start to June. We enjoyed a visit from a D-Day Dolly who sang beautifully, we all sang along and some of us had a dance too. We've enjoyed art and craft sessions taking inspiration from the blue moon. Today, as it's National Cheese Day, we had cheese tasting. 😊

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather lately by eating Al fresco, doing some gardening and just relaxing and enjoying the amazing view ☀️

Just some of the things we've been up to this month...We enjoyed a wonderful Tea Dance, we have celebrated birthdays, we have been finding out more about Bees for World Bee Day and Turtles for World Turtle Day. We have sung songs, danced, done some exercises ,planted seeds and baked biscuits. We have also wished Good Luck and Bon Voyage to our very own Chloe who is off on her adventures.

Today is World Puffin Day. We made fish shaped biscuits, coloured in Puffins for a display, found out interesting facts, watched a documentary about them and enjoyed a quiz to test our newfound knowledge. 😊
