We’ve lost count of the number of times Sal of has brought a group of her yogis to Tiptoe. Suffice to say we have another lovely group of creative people here for the weekend. Sal moves from studio to lawn, lawn to studio taking advantage of the greenery in the Forest, a change from her base in Walthamstow, East London.

The sun was shining but that little spring nip remains in the air. guests wallowed a little longer in the cold plunge baths.

Early this month we had the fifth Hannah retreat - five years on the trot Hannah has journeyed over from Tignes where she snowboards and teaches yoga, to hold a retreat here.

Hannah’s retreats are always a treat - nature’s harvest is abundant and we spend time enjoying its fruits.

We are never sure what the weather will throw at us and this year it was gale force winds but a fair amount of sun too. Loads of yoga, food and sleep makes for the perfect weekend.

She’ll be back next year so think ahead to 2026.

Some things are worth the wait - felllow 1992 Olympian, .reid waited an awfully long time for this - the most ambitious papercut I’ve done being quite large and for her stairwell.

Originally it was going to be cut into glass and illuminated but that was too ambitious so we decided on this. It depicts all the clubs and boat classes Tish raced in and for before becoming the GB single sculler in Barcelona.

An impressive list .

We arranged a handover in a windswept car park in Newquay. It’s now safely installed at Tish’s home and small holding in Cornwall.
