The New Moon is the quietest point of the lunar cycle, a time for internal reflection, stillness, and deep physical repair.
Moving away from the heat of standing poses and the effort of Vinyasa, this session is entirely floor-based. We prioritize the "Yin" aspect of yoga, using bolsters, blocks, and blankets to fully support the body, allowing the muscles to release and the fascia to soften. This is not a practice of "stretching," but one of yielding.
By holding postures for extended periods, we stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, addressing deep-seated fatigue and lowering cortisol levels. We will focus on the hips, the lumbar spine, and the kidneys; the energetic seats of vitality.
Who is this for? Perfect for those managing repetitive strain, high-intensity training plateaus, or anyone feeling the effects of a "tired-but-wired" nervous system. No previous experience with the Vinyasa Krama system is required and beginners are very welcome.
Bring: A mat. If possible blocks, strap, blanket and bolster (or pillow) are good to have. Wear cosy layers and socks.
