Do you care for someone living with dementia, or are you looking for information and support following a diagnosis?

Join us this time next week and every Wednesday after at our Dementia Hub, delivered in partnership with New Forest Primary Care Network.

The Hub is a safe and welcoming space where you can access information, advice and support, ask questions, and enjoy a friendly conversation over refreshments in a relaxed environment.

If you're attending with a loved one living with dementia, they are welcome to take part in a supervised activity session while you attend the Hub.

💙 We’re walking for dementia!

We’re delighted to be taking part in Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW's Walk for Dementia this September, with our residents and team getting involved to help raise funds and awareness for people living with dementia.

This year marks the charity’s fifth Walk for Dementia, with a new format making it easier than ever to participate. You can walk anytime, anyplace, anywhere throughout September – whether that’s a stroll around your local area, a walk in the park or a longer adventure.

As a Colten Care home, we’re also proud that Colten Care is supporting the campaign as a sponsor ✨

Last year’s event raised an incredible £12,000, helping the charity support people living with dementia across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We’d love to see even more people getting involved this year! 🚶‍♀️💙

🎨 Creative Café: every Monday, 10am-12pm
🌷 Garden Club: every Thursday, 10am-12pm

Open to everyone, free to attend, and no booking required. Plus, enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and homemade cakes ☕

Sunshine, singing and ice cream - what a wonderful combination! 🎶🍦

Residents from Linden House joined other local care homes for a musical morning at the New Milton Dementia Friendly Allotment.

Led by Fiona Pritchard, everyone enjoyed a lively singalong surrounded by beautiful flowers and vegetables, with tambourines adding to the fun. The morning ended perfectly with a well-earned ice cream in the sunshine.

A lovely community event filled with music, friendship and smiles.

We went down the rabbit hole at Linden House! 🐇🌹

To celebrate Alice in Wonderland Day, residents recreated one of the story’s most famous moments by painting white roses red, just like the Queen of Hearts’ card guards.

With colourful creations displayed in “Drink Me” bud vases and scented with summer fragrances, it was a magical afternoon full of creativity, conversation and smiles.

A wonderful way to bring a favourite story to life!

🌼💙 What a wonderful day we had at our Dementia-Friendly Festival this weekend!

It was a pleasure to welcome residents, families, friends and members of our local community for a day of live music, delicious food, classic cars, activities and meaningful conversations 🎶🚗🌿

Alongside the fun, visitors had the opportunity to meet dementia care specialists, including our Admiral Nurse Kay, and local organisations, offering advice, reassurance, and support for those living with dementia and the people who care for them.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. Together, we also raised £223 for The Lymington Centre through donations and our raffle 💙

Special thanks to all our community partners for their support The Memory Box Foundation and Helping Older People New Forest – we can't wait to do it again! ❤️

A wonderful day surrounded by nature and creativity at Linden House! 🌸🌿

Residents enjoyed a visit to Milford on Sea Dementia Allotments, taking part in a beautiful natural dyeing activity using flowers and plants.

Katie created her own fabric using hydrangeas, while others explored the allotments, admired the flowers and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings.

The day ended perfectly with a scenic coastal drive and an ice cream stop at the Needles Eye Café - a lovely day of friendship, creativity and memories.

👀 If you're looking for something to do this weekend, we'd love to welcome you to our Dementia Friendly Festival - open to all 👋

🕚 11am-3pm

Expect timeless favourites to sing along to; delicious BBQ food and refreshments; interactive musical, crafting, and gardening activites; classic cars showcase; opportunites to connect with local community services; and calmer spaces for quieter moments 🌭🎶 🌿

All activities will run throughout the full four hours, so no matter what time you arrive you’ll receive a warm welcome and be able to join in all the fun!
