Recovering from a pregnancy like that isn’t linear, and it isn’t quick. There were weeks I couldn’t have imagined running again at all, let alone 14 miles. I didn’t chase a timeline - I rebuilt slowly, checked in with myself properly, adjusted whenever something didn’t feel right. It’s the same process I use with every woman I coach, because it’s the only one that actually holds up.
That’s really the whole point of what I do. Not bouncing back. Rebuilding, properly, at whatever pace your body actually needs - pregnancy complication, birth, loss, perimenopause, whatever your version of ‘last year’ looked like.
If you’re in the middle of your own rebuild right now, however far into it - I see you, and it’s working, even on the days it doesn’t feel like it.
