Absolutely fantastic seeing so many of my lovely friends and patients getting some sand between their toes and having lots of fun at the beach party today! Massive thank you to Mablethorpe Town Council and all involved in organising, it’s been a smashing day ❤️

Hi everyone, just to clarify as there seems to be some confusion regarding my practice and contact details.

Potter Podiatry is currently operating with a closed patient list due to capacity. As a sole trader, I have to work within safe limits to protect both my patients and myself. Unfortunately the current economic climate makes employing additional staff or administrative support extremely difficult for small independent healthcare businesses.

Because of this, I stopped taking routine telephone enquiries when the waiting list closed in February. I am still considering urgent/emergencies on a case-by-case basis, however these must be sent via email or messenger with details of the problem so I can triage appropriately. [email protected] - this or the other page Potter Podiatry now at Campus for Future Living

I also wish to make it clear that:

• I no longer work from Knowle Street
• I am not affiliated with the gentleman distributing flyers using my name
• The telephone numbers on those yellow/blue leaflets are not connected to my current practice

If you require a HCPC registered podiatrist and are happy to travel, I can personally recommend: Emma at Old School Podiatry, Horncastle – 07518149624

For routine foot care and nail trimming in the comfort of your own home (Mablethorpe and surrounding areas): Beverley at Medi Foot Care – 07960423273

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I genuinely appreciate it.

👣 Clinic Update – Potter Podiatry 👣

I’m currently closed until 19th February.
When I reopen, I’m fully booked until mid March.

I’m now running a new patient waiting list. If you’d like to be added, please leave a voicemail and I’ll return messages once I’m back in clinic. 07720821277. Alternatively text or email [email protected]

If you need care while I’m unavailable, please do seek alternative healthcare support in the meantime.
For urgent medical concerns, contact your GP, NHS 111, or A&E as appropriate.

Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support - it really is appreciated 💙

Due to the adverse weather conditions in the Mablethorpe area, including snow, freezing rain, and very icy roads and pavements, I completely understand the need for patients to stay at home and prioritise their safety.

Under normal circumstances I do have a cancellation policy in place, however this will be waived during the current conditions. Your safety always comes first.

I will be putting additional clinic dates on towards the end of the month, when hopefully Storm Goretti has passed and travel conditions have improved.

Please take care, stay warm, and don’t take any unnecessary risks when out and about.

If you need to contact me, please message this page or call 07720821277 and leave a message, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe everyone. 👣❄️

Potter Podiatry is now closed for the festive season and will reopen on Friday 2nd January, by appointment only.

I would like to wish all my friends and patients a very Merry Christmas 🎅✨🎄

If you experience any worsening foot problems over the festive season, don’t wait for an appointment with me - please seek assessment via your GP, Urgent Treatment Centre or A&E if appropriate.

Due to high demand, my patient list is temporarily closed to new patients. However, I am operating a waiting list, and anyone wishing to join is very welcome to email [email protected] and I will be in touch as soon as appointments become available.

Lastly; a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Potter Podiatry and made my first six months trading from the Health Hub so incredible. Your support of my small business truly means everything.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for 2026.

My first month here at the Campus for Future Living has been incredible. I’m genuinely grateful for the support I’ve received from the community to my little clinic.

The response has been brilliant – loads of lovely people, plenty of interesting cases, and only one person who tried to take their shoe and sock off in Lidl to show me how much better their foot was. I’m calling it a win.

I’m looking forward to continuing to serve Mablethorpe and the surrounding areas with specialist, professional footcare you can rely on – no (toe) fluff, just proper care.

In recent years, I’ve noticed increasing public confusion around foot care titles — especially when it comes to the use of words like “specialist”, “expert” or “professional.”

As a podiatrist, I’ve completed a degree in podiatric medicine, undertaken extensive clinical placements, and maintain registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) — a statutory regulator that holds us accountable to strict standards of safety, ethics, and evidence-based practice.

On the other hand, Foot Health Practitioners (FHPs) typically complete short training courses (often privately run) and aren’t regulated by the HCPC. While many FHPs provide basic foot care and play a vital role in community foot health, they don’t hold the same qualifications, clinical scope, or legal accountability as podiatrists.

🛑 Why does this matter?
Using terms like “expert” or “specialist” without regulated qualifications can mislead the public, blur professional boundaries, and potentially compromise patient safety. Regulation isn’t just about titles — it’s about protecting the people we care for.

👣 If you’re seeking help for foot pain, diabetes-related foot issues, or complex foot conditions, always check your provider is HCPC-registered. You can verify this at hcpc-uk.org.

💬 Let’s work together — across all levels of foot care — to promote transparency, accurate representation, and the highest standards of patient safety.

We are a regulator of health and care professions in the UK. Our role is to protect the public. By law, people must be registered with us to work in the UK
