Julia visits every fortnight to complete exercise and reminiscence sessions with our residents

Her commitment to supporting our residents has been incredible, and we can’t thank her enough

She is familiar face in the area as she has been supporting many group and initiatives in the local community for many years

Over the spring and summer months our team have been working hard on our annual Porthaven garden challenge.

We have been working to ensure our gardens and balconies are at the highest possible standard for our residents to enjoy. As part of the challenge, our Activities and Wellbeing Team have also been focusing on how we can bring the outdoors to the inside, for our residents who do not get as many opportunities to enjoy our outdoor spaces.

They have set up an indoor, portable garden with a water feature that can bring the joys of a garden to each room.

⭐ World Trainers' Day 2026 ⭐

Today we are celebrating World Trainers' Day 2026 at Prestbury House!

Karen is our fantastic Home Trainer and dedicates each and every day to supporting our team members and residents. Karen has been with Prestbury House for 14 years - 9 years as our home trainer.

She has supported team members through training to ensure the highest possible level of care is provided to all of our residents. She has also supported many of our team members to achieve qualifications.

We can’t thank her enough for everything she has done for Prestbury House! Thank you Karen!
