Ever gone down a rabbit hole with your thoughts? 🐇🕳️

One thought becomes another… and another… and suddenly your brain has mapped out your entire future based on something that hasn’t even happened yet.

With GCSE results day approaching, that rabbit hole can get particularly deep 😬😬😔😔

What if I don’t get the grades? 🤔
What if everyone else does better than me?🤔
What if I can’t do what I planned?🤔
What if I’ve messed everything up?🤔

That’s anxiety trying to turn uncertainty into certainty... usually by imagining the worst possible outcome.

Your results matter. It’s completely understandable to care about them. But they are one moment in a much bigger life 🌼🫶

A different grade might mean a different conversation, a different course or even a different route.

Different doesn’t mean worse...🫶☺️

So if you notice yourself disappearing down the rabbit hole this week, come back to what you actually know right now 🤗🤗🤗💕

You don’t need to solve your whole future today. 💛

Just bought these old brass scales for my therapy space, and I love what they represent ⚖️

Many of the people who come to therapy have experienced real injustice. They’ve been mistreated, neglected, abused, betrayed, discriminated against, or expected to carry responsibilities that were never fairly theirs.

Therapy shouldn’t try to balance the scales by pretending there are always “two sides” to what happened. Sometimes what happened was unfair. Sometimes someone behaved badly. Sometimes you deserved better.

We can’t always change that history or make the person responsible put things right.

But therapy can offer a different kind of balance.
A space where your experience is given the weight it deserves. Where anger doesn’t have to be softened to make other people comfortable. Where grief, resentment and hurt can sit alongside hope, joy and the possibility of something different.

Not that everything balances out in the end.

But that everything you carry deserves to be weighed. 💜

🥰🥰🥰💛💛💛

There comes a point where you realise you've spent too long surviving in the dark.

Sometimes the darkness is obvious. Sometimes it's hidden behind keeping busy, keeping everyone else happy, or convincing yourself that "this is just how life is."

Stepping into the light doesn't mean your problems disappear. It means choosing honesty over pretending, growth over comfort, and hope over fear. It means believing that your past may explain you, but it doesn't have to define you.

The light can feel uncomfortable at first. It shows the wounds, the scars, and the places that still need healing. But it also reveals possibility, freedom, and the person you've been becoming all along.

Whatever dark place you've been in, remember this: you don't have to stay there.

One step. One choice. One moment of courage at a time.

Keep stepping towards the light.

We all need to stand in the lightness sometimes 🙃
