The Rossendale Trust The Rossendale Trust The Rossendale Trust provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities in Macclesfield, Sutton and Buxton.

Through Supported Living we empower people with learning disabilities to live with choice and ownership. Supporting over 70 people to live independently. Our Oakwood Day Service provides social & engaging opportunities for people with learning disabilities living in our local area. And our WorkTaste programme enables people with learning disabilities to gain access to the world of work.

After enjoying some time in the pool, our tenants relaxed in the cafe with some refreshments. These outings are a great way to stay active, socialise, and enjoy spending time with friends.

A couple of weekends ago, some of our tenants enjoyed a fantastic trip to watch their support worker, Oli, perform in Kinky Boots.📽️

Everyone had a wonderful time cheering Oli on from the audience and seeing him shine on stage. It was a great opportunity to support someone they know while enjoying a fantastic performance filled with music, energy and entertainment.👏

A huge thank you to A Good Thing for their generous donation of nail varnishes for the goody bags at our Ladies Lunch on 15th May. 💅✨

The goody bags were a lovely addition to the event and helped make the day even more special for our guests. We are always incredibly grateful for the generosity and donations we receive to support our events and fundraising activities.

With all the rain we've been having lately, we're looking back at this lovely Bank Holiday Monday when the sun was shining! ☀️

Our tenants enjoyed a wonderful day out at Buxton Botanical Gardens 🦋, followed by a picnic in the park.

There were plenty of smiles, lots of laughter, and the chance to enjoy some beautiful surroundings and great company.

It's amazing what a little sunshine can do and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces throughout the day. 🥰

What a wonderful way to spend time together! 🥰

Our tenants have been out and about making the most of the glorious bank holiday sunshine. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to get outside, soak up the warm weather, and enjoy the simple pleasure of dining in the sunshine - we must admit the food looked delicious!

Our Oakwood Grounds Maintenance team have been hard at work this week at Greenway Country Park in Biddulph, supporting Staffordshire County Council rangers. 🍃🌻

The team tidied the car park using rakes, brushes, and leaf blowers to clear leaves and debris, helping keep the area clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors.

What an incredible afternoon at our annual Ladies Lunch!

We are absolutely delighted to share that this year’s event was a complete sell-out and raised an amazing £9,500 for Rossendale Trust

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event — your generosity will make such a difference to the people we support.

A lovely day enjoyed by all the tenants on the New Horizons canal boat trip! ☀️

Andy, Chris, Duncan, Aiden, Stevie, John and Dougie had a fantastic time out on the water, enjoying great company, fresh air and plenty of smiles along the way.

Our day trip groups take part in a really fun activity which sees them visit a wide range of locations and places of interest. Members pool their ideas of places they would like to visit and agree a programme of weekly outings. This is done with a focus on socialisation, offering the chance to meet new people, enjoy new experiences and learn new things.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special.
