Through Supported Living we empower people with learning disabilities to live with choice and ownership. Supporting over 70 people to live independently. Our Oakwood Day Service provides social & engaging opportunities for people with learning disabilities living in our local area. And our WorkTaste programme enables people with learning disabilities to gain access to the world of work.

🏃‍♂️🏅 Over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, Andy took on the Buxton Half Marathon alongside fellow runners from Blastech Running Club during the mini heatwave.

As part of this challenge, Andy chose to raise money for Rossendale Trust, a cause close to his heart. Speaking about his fundraising, Andy said:

"I would love to raise some money for the Rossendale Trust, who have been so great with my Uncle Adam. They do so many good activities."

We are incredibly grateful for Andy's support and generosity. Every donation helps us continue providing opportunities, activities and experiences that make a real difference to the people we support.

A huge well done to Andy and everyone from Blastech Running Club who completed the half marathon – a fantastic achievement and something to be very proud of! 👏💙

For the past 10 years, we have been proud to work alongside Arighi Bianchi through our WorkTaste Programme, creating meaningful opportunities for people we support to gain valuable workplace experience, develop confidence, learn new skills, and build lasting relationships.

The relationship between Paul and all of the team at Arighi Bianchi is truly special, and we are incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and opportunities they have provided over the years.

WorkTaste placements are designed to benefit both employers and individuals, helping to gain real-world experience while allowing businesses to welcome enthusiastic and dedicated people into their workplace.

James had a fantastic day out at Peak Wildlife Park, getting up close to all the amazing animals and enjoying plenty of opportunities to pet and interact with them.

From meeting friendly farm animals to exploring the park's unique walk-through habitats, it was a day full of smiles, new experiences and lots of furry friends! 😊

Days like these are a wonderful way to create lasting memories and enjoy the great outdoors.

The dance floor was full, the music was flowing, and everyone enjoyed singing along to their favourite songs. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter, and plenty of dancing throughout the event.
