Years ago I read ‘The Hidden Messages in Water’ by Masaru Emoto and it raised an important the question in: are our words actually doing something to us?
Turns out, yes ‼️
Doctors’ word choices measurably change how much pain patients feel as is well documented in the nocebo effect. Then there is all the research about the placebo effect.
To take it even further, there’s an entire field of medicine, psychoneuroimmunology, studying how our thoughts and emotions talk directly to our immune system.
And decades of research show that people who write honestly about hard things for just 15 minutes a day show measurable improvements in immune function.
Your body is listening to every word you say about it. Your self-talk isn’t background noise it’s real time instruction ‼️‼️‼️
So what’s the sentence you say every morning about your own body? Is it still true, or is it just old? I would love to know👇
