About 15 years ago, I dreamed of learning Sanskrit.

This morning, I completed a 2.5-hour Introduction to Sanskrit CPD training with The British School of Meditation.

I was captivated by the beauty of Sanskrit, a language where sound and meaning are inseparable. It is often described not just as a language, but as a vibration technology of liberation.

Chanting is a powerful practice that can nourish the mind, support the body, and calm the nervous system. I look forward to weaving more Sanskrit, mantra, and chanting into my teaching and practice.

🏰 Castle in the Sky · Original English Lyrics 🎹✨

This is the first song for which I have written my own lyrics. The piece is inspired by Carrying You, the beloved theme song from Hayao Miyazaki's animated film Castle in the Sky, composed by Joe Hisaishi.

🌟 The Story Behind the Creation:

During the Christmas holidays of 2025, my children and I watched many Studio Ghibli films together. The melody of Carrying You stayed with me for days.
At the beginning of 2026, I sent the piece to my piano teacher, Carla, and told her I wanted to learn it. Although this song is very famous in Asia, it was the first time she had heard it.

After practising it a couple of times, we both felt that something was missing. Carla suggested, “Perhaps you could write lyrics for this melody?” I replied, “I've never written lyrics before. But I'll give it a try.”

What followed were several rounds of revisions to both the lyrics and the score, until we arrived at this final version. Through these lyrics, I wanted to express hope, belonging, and the journey of coming home.

I would also like to dedicate this piece to two extraordinary artists, Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi, whose work has brought so much beauty, hope, and healing into the world. 💗✨

April is the season of English bluebells. I went for a barefoot walk in a small forest nearby, just as they were coming into bloom. I paused, took a few photos, added a few words, and created this short film.

A small moment to slow down, to breathe, and to remember:
