From 20th July, Headcorn Pharmacy will be offering FREE NHS MenB vaccinations to eligible young people.

You may be eligible if you are:
✅ Currently in Year 13 (born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008)
✅ Starting university for the first time in Autumn 2026 and born on or after 21 July 2001
✅ Starting residential further education for the first time in Autumn 2026 and born on or after 21 July 2001

🛡️ MenB can cause life-threatening meningitis and sepsis. Getting vaccinated before you start college or university is the best way to protect yourself.

If you are aged 40 or over, you are advised to have your blood pressure checked at least every 5 years. Because high blood pressure rarely has noticeable symptoms, a quick check is the only way to know you are not at a heightened risk for heart attacks and strokes.

You can get a free blood pressure check at Wallis Avenue surgery just pop in and use the health pod in the waiting room alternatively at a participating local pharmacy. Or you can buy your own and check it more regularly at your own leisure!
